Dear University Community,
Happy Monday Dustdevils!
This past George Washington’s Birthday Celebration weekend, while chilly on Saturday, truly always offers something for everyone.
- At Saturday’s Mr. South Texas Award Luncheon honoring David W. Killam, the longtime TAMIU champion and partner announced his intent to create a new lecture series at TAMIU focused on the intersection of innovative thinking, public planning, and enhanced quality of life. We’re deeply appreciative of this future-focused investment and look forward to developing the Series for implementation next Fall.
- This weekend we also recognized our Senior members of our Dustdevil Basketball teams at Senior Day. We celebrate the accomplishments and contribution of our Men’s and Women’s team members. The TAMIU Women's Basketball seniors are: Alyssia Thorne, Mia Monroe, and Aaliyah McMillan. Men’s seniors are: Esteban Roacho, Emaniel Alexandre, Isaiah Somers, and Olaverr Camacho. We wish them all the very best as they graduate and journey forward.
- BTW, our TAMIU basketball teams play their last games of the regular season against rival TAMUK on Thursday at 5:30 and 7:30 PM CDT. There will be a fan bus providing transportation for those interested in going to the game in Kingsville. Please contact the Athletics Office at TAMIU, 956.326.3000, if you’d like to go and support our Dustdevils.
