Evergreen partners with Children’s HopeChest to support the Aware community in Ethiopia. You can make a difference by sponsoring an Evergreen runner in the Amway Riverbank Run on May 10. To donate, click the button below to select a runner to support. Thank you for helping us invest in this meaningful cause!

Arts Camp Volunteers

Arts Camp 2025 is planned for July 28-31. We are currently preparing for this great event and are looking for people interested in helping out during the week. All ages are welcome, starting at 7th grade and childcare is provided for parents who have kids younger than 2nd grade. There are many ways to help out and various levels of commitment. See Chris (or email chris@egm.org) at the Welcome Center for more information. Camper registration will open on June 2.

Spring Clean-Up Day

Evergreen will have a Spring Clean-Up Day on Saturday, May 10. Please join us and help with different projects both in and out of the building. The morning begins at 8am with breakfast, provided by our Encore Group. If you would like to join the clean up crew, then come for breakfast first.

If you are 50+ looking for a time to join Encore, please come and help at the breakfast. Talk to or email Sally VanEss (vanessms@sbcglobal.net) or Cherie DeHaan (hondohunts@gmail.com).

Tools needed for clean-up day:

  • Edgers
  • Rakes
  • Weed Trimmers
  • Shovels - both flat, pointed, and spade
  • Chain saws
  • Tree Trimmers
  • Roto Tiller
  • Other misc. yard tools

Ladies Night Out

Ladies, come enjoy a time of creativity and community on Monday, May 12 in the courtyard from 6:30-8:30pm. Create a beautiful piece of ink art. Cost is $8 per person. Sign up in the courtyard at the Welcome Center. If you are able, please bring a snack to share.

Community Night

Thank you to all who came and helped make Community Night a big success again this year! Watch the bulletin for summer Community Night events. Regularly scheduled Community Night will begin again in September. During the summer, Bridge to Life Recovery Meeting will continue to meet. The Boundaries discussion group will also continue to meet until the end of June (no class on May 28).

  • Boundaries Discussion Group - 6:30pm in the Maple Room
  • Bridge to Life Recovery Meeting* - 6:30pm in the Pine Room

*Bridge to Life Recovery Meeting is an Evergreen-style 12 Step Meeting that is open to anyone who is struggling with addiction or who would like to learn more about the process of recovery.

Youth groups for 3rd-12th grade meet weekly September-April. Contact Chris (chris@egm.org) for questions about 3rd-5th grade and Jesse (jesse@egm.org) for questions regarding 6th-12th grade.

  • 3rd-5th Grade: Sycamore Room, Wendesdays from 6:30-8pm
  • 6th-8th Grade: Sycamore Room, Sundays from 4:30-6pm
  • 9th-12th Grade: Sycamore Room, Sundays from 6-7:30pm

You can find ways to give to Evergreen in a variety of ways. As you consider your giving, know that, as always, all tithes and offerings go to support our youth ministries (birth-12th grade), recovery, the arts (music, drama, visual arts, dance), multiple outreaches, and many more ministries. If you are interested in giving to the work we are doing, you can do so by clicking the link below.

4 Corners Offering

For May, our 4 corners offering partner is Mission India. Their mission is to spread the Gospel in India in three ways: by reaching children, empowering adults, and planting local churches. They train and equip local Christians in India to do the work God has called them to do.
