NSW Small Schools Knockout Soccer Competition

Our soccer team played with great determination in the finals held in Sydney today. In the semi-final against Spring Hill, our team secured a 1-0 victory, with the only goal coming from an own goal by Spring Hill. Both teams showcased excellent skill and sportsmanship throughout the match.

The second game was the Grand Final. We played Eltham PS. Mulbring won this game 3-1 making us state champions. 1st in the State. An outstanding effort by our wonderful team members. Thanks also must go to our wonderful school community for being there every step of the journey. We extend our gratitude to the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, and family friends who supported us every step of the way.

A huge thank you to our dedicated coach, Mr. Nyman, for guiding us throughout the season and leading us to this incredible state victory.

Finally, thank you to the staff back at school holding the fort, taking on extra responsibilities and duties. —this achievement was truly a team effort, made possible by the encouragement and support of everyone involved.

Children's University - Singleton Bypass Project

Students in Class 4/5/6 continue to enjoy their Children’s University journey by taking part in a wide range of learning experiences beyond the classroom. Recently, they participated in an engaging excursion to the Singleton Bypass, where they learnt about the environmental impacts of large-scale projects and had the opportunity to see firsthand the scale, planning, and expertise involved in completing such a project.

In Week 10, on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th September, students will have their final opportunity to update their learning passports at school. The hours recorded will contribute towards awards presented at the Graduation Ceremony, to be held at the University of Newcastle on Tuesday 25th November from 4:00–6:30pm. Further details will be shared closer to the date.

4/5/6 Art Silent Auction – Grandparents Day

We are excited to announce that an Art Silent Auction will be held on Grandparents Day, Friday 24th October 2025! Students’ creative artworks will be proudly displayed in the Library for everyone to view and admire. Each piece will have a bidding sheet in front of it showing the current highest bid.

Anyone is welcome to place a bid, including on behalf of friends or family who cannot attend. Bidders can increase their bids as often as they like—especially if outbid and determined to secure a special artwork!

At the close of the auction, the highest bidders will be able to purchase the artworks they have secured by paying with cash or card. All funds raised will go directly towards purchasing more art supplies for all students at Mulbring Public School to enjoy.

We look forward to seeing you there and thank you for supporting our students’ creativity!
