Spring Exam Schedule See below for a copy of our Spring exams. Students should not bring backpacks to campus and are not allowed to visit other campuses on exam days. Exams account for 1/7 of the semester average; therefore, attendance is crucial! Let's make sure all students are present each day to prepare for exams and on exam days. Jr. VASE 2025 Competition
Each year our students participate in the Jr. VASE state competition. Of the 14,330 works of art submitted across the state, Workman submitted 23 entries. I am proud to say that all 23 entries scored a 4 out of 4 to win gold medals! Students receiving a gold medal are re-evaluated for the top 10% platinum scoring level. Six of our students were ranked in the top 10% and received platinum medals! Kudos to Mr. Lara and Mr. McElroy for leading our students to developing top-notch skills as artists! Congratulations to our students! Keep up the great work and representing Workman so well! Cada año nuestros estudiantes participan en la competencia estatal Jr. VASE. Dress Code Policy
Students will be given disposable scrubs to wear when they are out of dress code. The disposable scrubs need to be returned upon leaving the building. Metal Detectors
All Secondary AISD students (grades 7th-12th) will proceed through metal detectors every day. To help our process run efficiently, students need to remove most items containing metal from their backpacks as they will set off the metal detector--binders, umbrellas, metal cases, and metal water bottles. Students will hand these items to the staff member standing at the metal detector. Once they walk through, the staff member will return their items. Tables are available for students to return items to their backpack. Small items such as jewelry, keys, and phones do not need to be removed because they should not set off the detectors. Those students carrying an instrument will open the instrument case for inspection. Finally, students participating in early morning athletics will follow a similar procedure prior to practice. Todos los estudiantes de secundaria de AISD (grados 7º a 12º) pasarán por los detectores de metales todos los días. Transportation
All buses now use route numbers instead of bus numbers. Please ensure your child memorizes the route number as bus numbers can change, but bus route numbers never change. All buses drop-off and pick-up on the north side of campus.
