The Mammoths had an incredible weekend at the Farley Inter-Regional Extravaganza, taking down 6 School Records on both days of competition! On Friday May 10th, the team of Mads Rabb, Casie Eifrig, Myeh Medina and Zoë Marcus broke the School Record in the 4x400 Relay, running a time of 3:50.95! Next, Ian Dopp broke the School Record in the 3,000 Meters Steeplechase, running a time of 9:06! Next, Henry Dennen and Stan Craig both ran faster than the School Record in the 5,000 Meters, as Henry ran a time of 14:19 and Stan ran a time of 14:22! On Saturday May 11th, Julia Schor continued the School Record train by breaking the School Record in the 1,500 Meters, winning in a time of 4:29! Next, the Men's 4x100 Meter Relay of Ben Bell, Cody Pierce, Alex Nichols and Jordan Harrison broke their own School Record, winning in a time of 40.96 seconds! Finally, Casie Eifrig broke her second School Record of the weekend, running a time of 56.91 seconds in the 400 Meters!

Day 1
Heptathlon
Anaya Thomas kicked off the weekend of competition in the Heptathlon, running a time of 15.17 seconds in the 100 Hurdles! Next, Anaya cleared 1.60 meters (5' 3") in the High Jump! Anaya then set two personal bests to finish out the day, throwing a personal best mark of 9.09 meters (29' 10") in the Shot Put and running a personal best time of 28.80 seconds in the 200!
Decathlon
Alex Robin opened his Decathlon with a personal best time of 12.28 seconds in the 100 meter dash! He followed that with a personal best in the Long Jump, jumping a mark of 6.11 meters (20' 0.5")! Next in the Shot Put, he threw a mark of 9.84 meters (32' 3.5"). Then in the High Jump, he cleared 1.90 meters (6' 2.75") and ended Day One by running a time of 56.17 seconds in the 400 Meters.
Javelin
Carolina Andrade competed in the Javelin, placing second with a throw of 37.12 meters (121' 9").
After competing in Day One of the Decathlon, Alex Robin placed eighth in the Men's Javelin with a throw of 46.85 meters (153' 8").

4x400 Relay
The Women's 4x400 Relay got the School Record party started on Friday and it started with Mads Rabb, who ran the lead leg of the relay and handed off to Casie Eifrig in 7th place. Casie ran a fantastic leg, putting the Mammoths into a tight battle for sixth place! Casie handed off to Myeh Medina, who ran a stellar leg to move the Mammoths into fifth place! Myeh handed off to Zoë Marcus who held the Mammoths position and brought the Mammoths across the finish line in fifth place in a time of 3:50.95, a School Record time!
The Men's 4x400 Relay was next, and Jai Dreher led off for the Mammoths. Jai ran a strong leg and handed off to Cody Pierce for the second leg. Cody ran a competitive leg and handed off to Kolya Markov-Riss in third place! Kolya ran a competitive leg and handed off to Ben Davis in fourth place and Ben ran a strong anchor leg, bringing the Mammoths across the finish line in fourth place in a time of 3:16, #5 All-Time in Amherst history!

3,000 Steeplechase
Ian Dopp ran the second School Record of the weekend, breaking the School Record in the 3,000 Meters Steeplechase! Ian positioned himself in fourth place in the lead pack to start the race, and gradually moved up, and in particular made a big move for second place on the fifth lap of the race. Ian held his position and closed well, placing second in a time of 9:06, breaking the School Record by 3 seconds! Harrison Talcott ran a strong race as well, competing well to place ninth in a time of 9:38!
Women's 5,000
Allison Lounsbury competed in the second heat of the Women's 5,000. Allison positioned herself in the lead pack and ran a hard fought race, placing fifth in her heat with a speedy last lap, running a time of 18:14!

Men's 5,000
The Men's 5,000 was another record setting event for the Mammoths! Stan Craig, Henry Dennen and Harrison Dow led the chase pack, working together to push the pace. With three laps to go, Stan Craig moved up two places and his teammates followed! Stan and Henry made dropped a speedy second to last lap and Henry closed even faster on the final lap, moving up two places to place seventh in a time of 14:19, breaking his own School Record he set earlier in the season by 9 seconds! Stan closed well too and crossed the finish line in ninth place in a time of 14:22, faster than the previous School Record time that Henry held and a personal best time by 18 seconds for Stan! Harrison ran a strong race as well, running a personal best time of 14:33 to place 14th! George Cahill ran a hard fought race, placing 20th in a time of 15:17.

Day Two
Heptathlon
The action on Day Two kicked off in the Heptathlon, where Anaya Thomas set a personal best in the Long Jump, jumping 5.24 meters (17' 2.25")! Next in the Javelin, she threw a mark of 25.41 meters (83' 4") and she closed out the two-day Heptathlon in the 800, running a personal best time of 2:39!
With the points tallied up from each event, Anaya set a personal best with a score of 4,193 points to place third overall and she is now #2 All-Time in the event in Amherst history!
Decathlon
In the Decathlon, Alex Robin kicked off Day Two by running a personal best time of 18.02 seconds in the 110 Hurdles! Next in the Discus, Alex threw a mark of 19.55 meters (64' 2"). Alex finished in first place in the Pole Vault, where he cleared 4.05 meters (13' 3.5") and he finished in first place in the Javelin, where he threw a mark of 41.77 meters (137' 0")! Alex wrapped up the two-day Decathlon with the 1,500 meters, where he ran a time of 5:21.
With the points tallied, Alex set a personal best with a score of 5,278 points, placing second!
Hammer Throw
Charlie Spurrell competed well in the Hammer Throw, throwing a season best mark and his second best throw ever, with a mark of 54.36 meters (178' 4") to place fourth!
100 Hurdles
Eliza Cardwell competed in the 100 Hurdles and won her heat in the prelims, running a season best time of 14.25 seconds! Eliza came back and won the final in a time of 14.45 seconds!

Jordan Harrison placed second in his preliminary heat of the 100, running a time of 10.79 seconds!

The first School Record of the day and the fourth of the weekend came in the Women's 1,500! Zoë Marcus paced the race, a huge help as it got the race going at a fast pace. Julia Schor positioned herself with the race leaders and gradually moved up throughout the race, moving into third place with a lap to go. Julia ran a stellar last lap of the race, moving into second place and then battling for the win in the final 200 meters of the race and she gave it her all, crossing the finish line in first place and in a personal best and School Record time of 4:29! Julia also ran the fastest last lap of all competitors in the race to break her previous personal best time in the event by four seconds!
The Men's 1,500 was another excellent event for the Mammoths, and Aidan Gemme and Henry Dennen competed in the second heat. Aidan and Henry sensed the quick pace set from the gun and worked together towards the back of the field. The sophomore duo moved up well after passing through the 800 meter mark of the race and both closed well, as Aidan took the inside lane with 100 meters to go to place second in the heat with a nearly five second personal best time of 3:52! After running a School Record in the 5,000 the night before, Henry crossed the finish line in third place in the heat in a time of 3:52, a three second personal best time!
Long Jump
In the Men's Long Jump, Adrian Friedman placed third with a jump of 6.72 meters (22' 0.75")!
In the Women's Long Jump, Eliza Cardwell placed second with a jump of 5.45 meters (17' 10.75") and Héloïse Hughes placed fifth with a jump of 5.34 meters (17' 6.25").
Triple Jump
Michael Abbey had an excellent day in the Triple Jump, winning in a personal best jump of 14.56 meters (47' 9.25"), setting a personal best by nearly one foot! Michael's jump is also #2 All-Time at Amherst in the event!
4x100 Relay
Running our best line up in the 4x100 Relay for only the second time this season, the team of Ben Bell, Cody Pierce, Alex Nichols and Jordan Harrison combined to run a School Record time of 40.96 Seconds! They broke their own School Record, set last year! Ben Bell got off to a great start on the lead leg of the relay and handed the baton to Cody Pierce, who ran a strong leg and handed off to Alex Nichols! Alex battled for the lead and handed the baton to Jordan Harrison who brought the Mammoths across the finish line in first place!
Discus
Emma Ramsingh placed fourth in the Women's Discus, throwing a mark of 42.59 meters (139' 9"). David Brown competed well in the Men's Discus, throwing his second best throw ever with a mark of 46.23 meters (151' 8") to place second!

Casie Eifrig toed the line for the 400 and got out to a strong start and she closed well, crossing the finish line in a personal best and School Record time of 56.91 seconds! This was Casie's second School Record of the weekend and she now holds the Indoor and Outdoor School Records in the 400 and 4x400 Relays!
800
Parker Boyle raced in the first heat of the 800, and after going through the first lap in sixth place, Parker ran a stellar second lap to move into third place, crossing the finish line in a personal best time of 1:50! His time is #2 All-Time in Amherst history in the event!
Ben Davis and Will Nagy competed in the second heat and positioned themselves well in the middle of the pack in the race. Ben closed well and ran a personal best time of 1:51 to place third in the heat and Will Nagy placed eighth in the heat in a personal best time of 1:53!
200
Héloïse Hughes ran a collegiate and season best time of 25.12 seconds in the 200 to place fourth in her heat! Her time is fourth all time at Amherst in the event!
Cody Pierce placed second in the 200 in a time of 21.55 seconds, his second best time of the season!
We are so grateful for all of the family and friends who supported the Mammoths from near and far this weekend! Everyone's support was critical for the Mammoths success!
