Ysgol Tir Morfa - Newsletter Friday 21st february 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

We’ve arrived at the end of what I can only describe as an extremely busy and eventful half term at Ysgol Tir Morfa! I want to thank all the wonderful pupils, staff, governors and families for the warm welcome I’ve been given.

Lots of things have been going on this week including school council meetings at both sites, a Criw Cymraeg meeting to plan for our Wythnos Cymraeg week after half time and Dosbarth Brenig welcomed parents and carers to an afternoon show on Wednesday.

I wish you all an enjoyable half term break and I look forward to welcoming the children back on Monday 3rd March.

Kind regards,

Susan H. Roberts

Headteacher

We had a special show for our parents and carers. We performed some dances, sang some Welsh songs and introduced our “fruit and veg, pick n’ mix” Our parents loved eating the fruit and veg! We even had a special visitor Mrs Roberts who came to watch the show and meet our parents! We had so much fun!

School Phone

After half term when calling school, you will notice a few changes. Instead of your call being answered immediately by the school office, you will be presented with the following options:

Push 1 to report a pupil absence - this will allow you to leave a message to let us know your child will be absent. Please state your childs name and a reason for the absence on your message.

Push 2 to speak to the school office - this will put you through to a member of the admin team.

Push 3 to place an order with Blooms (our school flower and gift shop).

Our school number is the same and can be used for both our sites - Ffordd Derwen and Grange Road (RHS)
