I created a realistic apple using shadows, highlights, and blending. I learned perspective in my drawing, and the basic properties I learned in drawing the apple helped me throughout the semester. My goal was to make my apple as realistic as possible. Since it was my first project, I didn’t have too high hopes for it, but it turned out a lot better than I originally thought it would. I would hope for my audience to think the drawing looks good, but also be able to give me constructive criticism on the project.
For my creative apple, I wasnt sure what to do at first. I tried many different ideas, but a picnic just seemed the best. I learned how to have colors that work with eachother and not against eachother. My goal was to have fun with this project and for it to still be based around the apple. I feel pretty good about it. Im not the best drawer. But it turned out alright. I hope my audience can tell what every thing is inside the drawing.
I created a pattern quilt based around african culture. I learned that it was not my specialty and that my talent is in other things. My goal was to make it look like the patterns belong together, obviously it didn’t work out too well. I don’t feel good about it, it is my least favorite art piece i have done. I hope my audience sees somebody who tried their best.
I created a tiger inspired after Andreas Preis’s art style. I leared how to use symmetry in my work. My goal was to make the tiger have realistic feature, but not for it to look realistic. I feel great about it, it is my favorite piece that I have done. I would like my audience to see what is it supposed to be and to appreciate the work.
I created a field with trees using water color. I learned how difficult it is to use water color. My goal was to make my work look just like what I was imagining. I feel really good about this piece, other than the random white spots around the piece. I hope my audience can visualize my art just like I was.
