Dear Minera Families,
Its been a really busy an exciting week here at Minera School ending with a brilliant Friends of Minera Quiz Night which was highly competitive and a fantastic Year 3/4 Class Worship sharing their work about Space. Thank you to everyone who supported both events.
This week, we have been thinking about our school vision. A couple of years ago with help of pupils, staff, parents, governors and other members of the school community, we defined our school vision. This plays an important role in everyday life of Minera School.
I'm excited to share the Headteacher's vision for our school with you. These core principles guide our approach to education and shape the nurturing environment we're creating at Minera VA Primary School for the whole school community. Together, we're building a strong foundation for our pupils' future success and personal growth.
Don't forget my door is always open if you have issues or questions. Have a lovely weekend and see you on Monday morning,
Spencer Williams - Headteacher

Parent/Carers Survey
Here at Minera, the thoughts and ideas of our parents/carers are very important to us. Every year as part of our self-evaluation processes, we ask parents/carers to complete a survey about Minera School.
You can access the online survey by clicking this link: https://forms.office.com/e/3D80MgCwzT
Please read each statement, considering your own experiences and tick the box that best fits what you think.
We value your opinion and hope that the feedback you give us will help us to improve upon the service we give you. Thank you to the 31 parents who have taken time to complete this survey. This survey closes on Monday 17th February.

School Uniform
At Minera School, we have expectations about our children wearing the appropriate school uniform. We still have a number of number of children are wearing coloured trainers, jogging bottoms and leggings.
On non-PE days children should wear:
- Blue school jumper/cardigan
- Blue/White polo top
- Black/grey trousers/skirt
- Black shoes or plain black trainers
It is important for children to wear the appropriate uniform as it makes them look really smart and prepares them for high school with high standards of uniform.
Here is a reminder of PE Days
- Monday - Year 5/6
- Tuesday - Year 3/4
- Wednesday - Reception and Year 1/2
- Thursday - Year 3/4
- Friday - Year 5/6
National Number Day
On Friday 21st February. we are supporting NSPCC’s Number Day and are asking children to ‘dress up for digits!’ Pupils are asked to wear an item of clothing with a number on it (football shirt, cap, netball shirt or even a onesie!), or get even more creative by dressing in a maths or numbers theme. To help raise money for the NSPCC, we are asking for donations, and we’d love everyone in the school to take part in this special event. Children will be taking part in fun number activities on Friday, including taking part in a friendly TT Rock Stars competition against schools across the UK.
The information is here if you want to take a look: https://www.nspcc.org.uk/support-us/charity-fundraising/schools-fundraising-ideas/number-day/resources-25
