Josie Guernsey and Wyatt Eaton Recognized for Outstanding Achievement
Otselic Valley Central School District is proud to announce that Josie Guernsey has been named Valedictorian and Wyatt Eaton has been named Salutatorian of the Class of 2026. These honors recognize the students who have achieved the highest academic standing in their graduating class while demonstrating leadership, dedication, and a commitment to excellence throughout their high school careers.
As Valedictorian, Josie Guernsey has distinguished herself through outstanding academic achievement and active involvement in school activities. She has served as Vice President of Student Government, represented the student body on the Board of Education, participated in Book Club and the Colgate Seminar Program, and been an active member of the Drama Club. Josie plans to attend Colgate University, where she will pursue a degree in Education with the goal of becoming an English teacher.
Salutatorian Wyatt Eaton has also demonstrated exceptional academic success while contributing to numerous school organizations and activities. His involvement in Student Government, Book Club, the Colgate Seminar Program, S.A.G.A., and Drama Club reflects his dedication to both learning and service. Wyatt plans to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he will pursue his passion for costume design.
Both students have made lasting contributions to the Otselic Valley community through their leadership, involvement, and commitment to personal growth. Their accomplishments reflect years of hard work, perseverance, and dedication.
