Inspiring - Inclusive - Empowered
We acknowledge the Minjungbal people, of the Bundjalung Nation, who are the original custodians of the land on which the school proudly stands. We raise our hands to the sky that covers the Aboriginal land. We touch the ground in the care of the Aboriginal land. We place our hands on our hearts in love of the Aboriginal land.

Winter Festival
Oh what a day! I won't lie, we were all a bit worried when the rain settled in on Saturday but on Sunday morning, the sun was shining brightly! The people rolled in and rolled in and rolled in. They were treated with a stilt walker blowing bubbles set amongst the jumping castles and over sized hoola hoops. While they meandered through they were hit with The Winter Festival in full swing - Salmon Head, Dance Troupes, High School Acts, Bark Side of The Moon and finally Ziggy and Zumba! As the kids got hungry the food stalls were overrun supplying cakes, pies, sausages, curries and soft tacos (and of course a sneaky beer for those over 18!).
As they went through the festival they pushed through the hoards at side show alley, purchased some raffle tickets, played tombola, got their hair sprayed, face painted and made it to the back paddock where they chilled with Spaghetti Circus, Shorty Brown, the petting zoo and the tractor ride.
And of course, if they wanted a boogey, they knew where to head - THE DISCO!!
All this was made possible to those hard working volunteers that gave up time, baked, set up, packed down, leaflet dropped etc etc. Thanks to Nathan, Maryse, Jaye and Amanda who formed the P & C organising committee.
Winter Festival Thank You
Be sure to mark Wednesday in your calendar for the P & C thank you BBQ, nibbles and drinks. You'll not only get all this for free, but you will also find out the figures! The Winter Festivals success is measured in many different ways but we always love to find out how much we raised!
Reports
Reports go out tomorrow. They will be emailed. Be sure to download the attachment to keep for future reference.
Last Day
A reminder that the last day of term is the Pyjama Day, hosted by our SRC. The last day is this Friday. Please wear pyjamas and bring a gold coin donation for Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.
As it is the last day of semester, children are invited to bring in a plate of food to share with the class as well.
Term 3
Term 3 starts on Tuesday, 22 July. Staff will be at school completing professional learning on Monday, 21 June.
Enjoy time with your kids over the holiday break and we can't wait to see you all back in Term 3.
