The weather has been extremely kind to us thus far and whilst the days start out relatively fresh, it only gets warmer as the day goes on.
Today we begin our cycling journey from Bordeaux to Biarritz. This will comprise of 7 stages with the first heading out to Margaux, one of France’s famous wine regions and what better way to experience what this region has to offer is to book oneself into a luxury Chateau to spend the evening!
Dinner tonight was at a local winery about 5km down the road. As our only mode of transport is our bikes, we opted for an earlier sitting so as not to get caught riding in the dark. As it was we just made it home before dark.
The whole evening was magical, riding through vineyards on dirt and rocky tracks and quiet farm roads both there and back and the food was sensational (pictures to prove it) and it tasted good!
