Google Classroom & SeeSaw

Google Classroom is where any homework / spellings are posted after school on a Friday. However, it is not just used for homework. As children progress through the school teachers use it on a regular basis as part of the school day (so please don't worry, not all work posted is homework - the children will know!).

If children move on to Islwyn High School, Google Classroom is used even more. Parents who already have some familiarity with how Google Classroom works are an advantage when it comes to supporting their older children in secondary school.

You can only login to Google Classroom with your child's username and password. If you have lost these and your child does not know them, please contact your child's class teacher or the school office.

If you need help logging in to Hwb or Google Classroom please watch this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhCjrTteqxo (this link is also available on the Homework page of the school website).

We primarily use SeeSaw in our younger classes for recording evidence of learning so that we can track children's progress. This is particularly important with our youngest learners. An added benefit of SeeSaw is that it can be shared with parents. As the children get older, more is recorded in books and therefore there is less on SeeSaw and we do not use it with our older classes.

We do not use either platform as a communication tool.
