Clark County approves Hard Rock's mirage reorientation plan

After acquiring Mirage, a legendary casino located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, in 2021, casino giant Hard Rock International is continuing to make progress with plans to rebrand the iconic building. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal (LVRJ), the operator's design plan to remodel the existing swimming pool and convert 1.2 million square feet into new live performance venues and retail and ballroom spaces was approved by the Clark County Commission, an urban planning authority.

Design approved by military officials:

The move by county officials reportedly comes after previously approving Hard Rock's plan to replace the landmark volcanic attraction in Mirage with a different-shaped tower. The plan required approval from jurisdictions because it involved changing Streep's landscape, according to the LVRJ. The Clark County Commission approved a rebranding and development plan for the 660-foot-tall hotel tower under the podium in early 2023 to gain approval for the latest expansion plan.

According to the LVRJ, the 1.2 million-square-foot expansion includes additional hotel towers that will bring extensive changes. The design is said to focus on developing new casino areas, retail spaces, restaurants, clubs, and outdoor leisure areas. The Clark County Commission reportedly approved the design review on Nov. 8, 2023, without discussion. According to sources, Hard Rock International's Vertical Hard Rock Las Vegas appears to have exclusively focused on steps taken in the process leading to the planned development, as it did not provide information on when construction could begin.

Scope of Extensions and Remodeling:

According to a report by LVRJ, Hard Rock officials will remove existing facilities and some existing swimming pool structures, such as Secret Garden and dolphin habitats, to allow remodeling of spaces adjacent to and from more than 45,000 square feet of swimming pools. They will also reportedly expand existing theaters by 70,000 square feet, expand retail area by 6,500 square feet, and add several amenities, such as 60,000 square feet of ballroom space.

When the operation is completed, the casino area will reportedly expand from 94,000 square feet to 174,000 square feet. In addition, the convention space will increase to 283,000 square feet as the theater capacity will almost double to 6,265 seats. The number of food and beverage stores will increase to 21, and other amenities will be adapted to fit the expansion plan. 슬롯사이트
