German cities offer diverse and enriching educational experiences
Berlin
In Berlin, explore iconic historical sites like the Brandenburg Gate and remains of the Berlin Wall, which offers insights into German identity and unity. Engage with powerful historical narratives while visiting the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe and the Reichstag, where the German national parliament is seated. Participate in unique educational opportunities, such as learning more about the history of Europe’s largest university hospital in the Charité Museum of Medical History and taking a tour of Berlin’s Technical University campus.
Hamburg
Visit Hamburg, Germany’s second-largest city and one of Germany’s wealthiest cities. The port of Hamburg is the third-busiest harbor in Europe making it an important economic aspect of the city. Nicknamed the “Gateway to the World,” Hamburg is still one of the largest exporters of coffee, cocoa, and tea, and handles textile imports from Middle Eastern countries before shipping them onwards. The Speicherstadt is the largest warehouse district in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
