"Leaves in morning"

This piece is called “Leaves in morning”. This picture was one of my first pictures and it shows leaves early in the morning. I learned how I can use different features on my camera playing around when taking this picture. My goal was to show I can use a camera and take good pictures. I feel about this picture that it really shows the water droplets well and the color of the leaves. When my audience sees this picture I hope they feel a sense of joy, for early mornings and being able to have a fresh start after a long day.

"The party after"

This picture was my first piece titled “The party after” . It shows the aftermath of a party. From this piece I learned how to use lighting. My goal was to try new things with items around my house. I feel that the editing went well with this photo for my first time using photoshop and I like how it looks but I think it could have gone better overall. I hope that my audience feels a sensation of happiness and also a tinge of sadness for the moment being over but being happy for the moment it happens.

"Sand dunes from afar"

This picture is called “Sand dunes from afar.” It is the sand dunes in Colorado from a wider perspective. I learned how to take pictures with my camera when taking this photo. My goal was to take the best photo I could. I feel that this picture could be less grainy but it still shows what I wanted the audience to see. I hope my audience feels a passionate respect for nature after seeing this picture of the beautiful sand dunes of Colorado.

"Blanket texture"

This piece I created is titled “Blanket texture”. It is a picture of a blanket that has bumps along it giving that textured look through the picture. I learned what textures were in a picture and how to show them. My goal was to really show the texture through the picture. How I feel about this picture is that many things could have gone better with it but it still shows its texture. When the audience sees it I hope what they get from it is a feeling of the texture they can’t feel but that they can see that helps them imagine how it feels.

"Wall texture"

This piece is called “Wall texture”. It is a picture that shows the texture of walls. I learned what textures were in a picture and how to show them. My goal was to really show the texture through the picture. How I feel about this picture is that many things could have gone better with it but it still shows its texture. When the audience sees it I hope what they get from it is a feeling of the texture they can’t feel but that they can see that helps them imagine how it feels.

"Broken wood"

This piece I created is titled “Broken wood”. It is a picture of splintered wood. I learned what textures were in a picture and how to show them. My goal was to really show the texture through the picture. How I feel about this picture is that many things could have gone better with it but it still shows its texture. When the audience sees it I hope what they get from it is a feeling of the texture they can’t feel but that they can see that helps them imagine how it feels.

"The variety of rocks"

This piece is called “The variety of rocks”. It is a tryptic sheet. A tryptic sheet is photos put together that have the same idea, and mine was rocks. It is also all texture photos. I learned how to group things together and how to make a tryptic sheet. My goal was to find photos that matched each other. I feel that it could have gone better, it could have been better formatted. I hope what my audience gets from it is appreciation for rocks.

"Black and white water drop"

This piece I created is titled “Black and white water drop”. I turned a colorful photo into a black and white photo. What I learned was not only how water drops can warp pictures but also how to turn a colorful photo into a black and white one. My goal was to really bring out the white and blacks in this photo. I feel that this piece shows my improvement on editing and taking photos. When the audience sees this I hope they feel interest in what the water drop means, and that they feel sadness from the black and white features.

"Duotone water"

This piece is called “Duotone water". It shows the red and blues of the picture. I learned how to bring out just the red and blues in a picture. My goal was to make this piece the best duotone picture I could. I feel it could have looked better but it was still good for my first duotone picture. I hope my audience feels a sort of emptiness because of the less color in the picture.

"The red leaf"

This piece is called “The red leaf”. This picture shows everything else black and white and the leaf is the only colorful thing. I learned how to hand color a photo and make it look the best I can. My goal was to show emotion through the leaf and color it to make it look the best it can. How I feel about this is I think it is a really cool color and it turned out really cool but there could be many things I could have done better. When the audience sees this I hope they feel happy, for the leaf is getting to show its colors when everything else around it is sad and dull.

"Surreal shed"

This piece is called “Surreal shed”. It is a picture of a shed with eyes and bush clippers as arms. This can’t happen in real life which is why it is called surreal. It is meant to look real when it can’t ever happen. I learned how to collage pictures together. My goal was to make the separate photos look like they were taken all in one, like someone had passed by and taken a picture of it as if it was happening in real life. I feel it could have been more creative but I think it still came out okay. When my audience sees this I hope they feel a little bit uncomfortable because that’s what this piece is meant to do.

"Colorful oil and water"

This piece is called “Colorful oil and water”. I learned how to take things from different angles. My goal was to make these pictures the best I could. These pictures are water mixed with oil that made bubbles with a colorful surface underneath. These were my last set of pictures and I feel that they show that I have improved a lot since my first photos. I hope what my audience gets from these photos is awe and wonder about the science of water and oil and appreciation for the beauty of colors.

"The colors of purple and red"

This piece is called "The colors of purple and red". These pictures are water mixed with oil that makes bubbles with a colorful surface underneath . I learned how to use different colors and angles. My goal was to make these pictures the best I could. These were my last set of pictures and I feel that they show that I have improved a lot since my first photos. I hope what my audience gets from these photos is awe and wonder about the science of water and oil and appreciation for the beauty of colors.
