The Tale of Sicilia A cyclops story - Beckett Ehrlich

As Rocks upon rocks are stacked together.

Polyphemus can’t tell the great weather,

He gobbles down men like one eats his cheese

And Odysseus’s men, he eats these.

He drinks the wine that makes him get knocked out,

And Polyphemus’s eye gets blacked-out.

Odysseus comes up with a plan for

Bringing his men home and with goods galore.

And out of the big gray cave the men go,

As Odysseus blinds the giant, whoa!

And out they sneak on the bellies of sheep

Gloating about their delicious goods heap.

Nobody had tricked him and stabbed his eye.

Nobody had tricked him, he’s a poor guy.

And now he prays to the god Poseidon.

The god listens and now is enlightened.

So Odysseus’s journey is cursed.
