The Craft Of…
The Craft Of… video series is designed to showcase the skills and talents of artists, craftspeople, technicians, and entrepreneurs. Each episode will feature an in-depth look at an individual or small business, highlighting the creative process and the stories behind their work. Through interviews, demonstrations, and behind-the-scenes footage, the series will provide an intimate and inspiring portrait of each subject. By celebrating their unique skills and perspectives, The Craft Of will help viewers understand the value of craftsmanship and appreciate the artistry behind the work.
It takes viewers on a journey into their creative process, their inspirations and motivations, and how they constantly push their craft's boundaries. Not only will viewers get up close and personal, but they will also gain an understanding of the tools and materials they use to create, the methods they use to produce, and the stories behind the finished product. By exploring the behind-the-scenes of a craftsperson's work, The Craft Of will help viewers find a connection to their work and inspire them to pursue their creative dreams.
The Craft Of interviews helps the audience get to know the makers behind their favorite works of art and provides an opportunity to learn from them. By hearing the stories behind the art, obtain insight and inspiration.

Dexter Mobley is a dynamic and determined media professional with a passion for creating unique stories. He has a wide range of experience in the film and video production industry, with skills in both pre-production and post-production.
He’s a veteran of the media industry, having worked for ABC News, HBO, and Kahn & Jacobs Public Relations. He began his career in the television side of the business. He moved onto Film Production, working in various positions as a Production Assistant, Electrician, Gaffer, Production Manager, and Line Producer for small, medium, and large independent films. While in the Southwest, Dexter worked with Spirit Horse Productions, Viamedia, Panacore, and Leaf Productions.
As a line producer, he would oversee script breakdown analysis and budgeting during pre-production. He quickly gained recognition for his keen eye for detail and eye-catching visuals.
During production, he would manage the day-to-day operations of a film or video production. He would work closely with the director, producer, executing producer, and other production team members to ensure that the project was completed on time and within budget.
As a production manager, he would also oversee the logistics of a production, including coordinating the movement of equipment, cast, and crew, as well as ensuring that necessary permits and permissions are obtained.
Given his experience as a PA and working his way up to line producer in independent film, Dexter has a good understanding of the industry and a strong work ethic. His skill set is versatile, and those are in demand in the film industry.
Over the years, Dexter has worked on various projects as an Editor and in Production, from feature films to documentaries to short films. His work has won him multiple awards and recognition, including the NY International Independent Film and Video Festival 2005 Award for Best Drama - Feature Film Genre Award.
After taking a break, Dexter has resumed work in independent film, including script breakdown, budgeting, and consulting for several small New Media SAG projects. He is passionate about using his skills and expertise to help aspiring filmmakers create their visions and bring them to life on big and small screens.
