PRINCIPAL MessagE

Dear parents and carers, This week, our school proudly celebrated Thank a Teacher Day, a special opportunity to recognise and appreciate the incredible dedication, care, and hard work of all our staff. We were delighted to receive so many thoughtful and heartfelt messages from pupils, parents, carers, and members of our school community. The kind words shared highlighted the positive impact our teachers and support staff make every day through their encouragement, patience, creativity, and commitment to helping every child succeed. Messages thanked staff for inspiring a love of learning, building confidence, offering support during challenging times, and creating classrooms where children feel happy, safe, and valued. It was wonderful to read so many examples of the difference our staff make, both inside and outside the classroom. We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to send a message. Your words were greatly appreciated and brought many smiles throughout the school. Celebrations like these remind us how fortunate we are to have such a caring and supportive school community. To all of our teachers, teaching assistants, office staff, kitchen staff, middays, site team, and everyone who contributes to school life – thank you for everything you do each and every day. Your dedication helps our children learn, grow, and thrive. Happy Thank a Teacher Day!

Here are some of the wonderful messages that we have received for our staff.

This week, our Year 6 pupils have been taking part in Cycling Proficiency training. The children have been learning essential cycling skills, including how to ride safely on the road, understand road signs, perform safety checks on their bikes, and develop awareness of other road users. The instructors were extremely impressed with the children's enthusiasm, listening skills, and commitment throughout the course. The training has helped to build both confidence and independence while encouraging safe and responsible cycling habits. Well done to all of our Year 6 cyclists for their excellent effort and participation. We hope they continue to enjoy cycling safely and confidently in the future!

With the warmer weather continuing next week, please ensure that your child comes to school with a named water bottle every day. We also recommend that children bring a sun hat and arrive wearing sunscreen. Children will be encouraged to drink plenty of water and spend time in shaded areas where possible. Thank you for your support in helping us keep everyone safe and comfortable during the hot weather.

As always, enjoy your family time together.

celebrating Together

As we approach the end of another wonderful academic year, we look forward to celebrating all that the children have achieved. We would like to invite parents and carers to join us on Thursday 9th July for a special opportunity to share in the children's successes and view their school books. This will be a chance to see the progress they have made, celebrate their hard work, and reflect on the many learning experiences they have enjoyed throughout the year. We look forward to welcoming you and celebrating together before the summer break.

BELFAIRS SUMMER SHOWCASE

Darlinghurst students and their families are invited to the annual Summer Showcase at Belfairs Academy on Tuesday 30th June 4:00pm - 6:00pm.   The event will feature an exhibition of Art, Photography, Technology, and Media work created by over 300 GCSE and A Level students. Guests will also enjoy canapés prepared by our Hospitality and Catering students, alongside live musical performances.   This showcase provides an excellent opportunity for prospective students to gain an insight into the high-quality creative work produced at Belfairs Academy and to be inspired by the achievements of our students.
