This Week at Evergreen
In this massive, ever-expanding universe, it can be hard to believe that God seeks a personal relationship with us. King David expresses this feeling when he writes, “What are human beings that you think about them; what are human beings that you pay attention to them?” And yet, when God comes to us in Jesus, he doesn’t just speak to big crowds. He gets up close and personal. In this series, we’ll look at four personal encounters with Jesus, all of which reveal a God who longs to make things personal with us.

This Weeks "Love In Action"
When owning a home, you can save money by doing your own household repairs, but what if you lack the skills? Bills can quickly add up. Love Your Neighbor, in partnership with local churches, provides community support to under-resourced families and is seeking volunteers for general household repairs in the Hudsonville area. If you are willing to help, please click on the link below.
Thank You!
Hand2Hand would like to thank you all for the generous food donations. They will help over the next couple of months as we finish out the school year. Please remember to bring any food donations you will be bring to church this Sunday and leave them in the carts at the Welcome Center.
Ash Wednesday Service
On Wednesday, March 5, as a part of Community night, we will have an Ash Wednesday Community Worship Event: 6:30–8:00pm (feel free to stay for as long or as little as you’d like). Ash Wednesday marks the start of Lent, the season in the church calendar leading up to Easter. It’s a time for prayer, repentance, and fasting, inviting us to reflect on God’s mercy and the transformative power of Jesus in our lives. Join us for an evening of interactive reflection stations throughout the church. All ages are welcome to explore the stations at their own pace, whether individually or as a family. If you’d like, come early at 5:45 for a soup supper before the service. Click the button below or scan the QR Code at the Welcome Center to sign up to bring soup for the dinner.
Lent Devotional
During the 6 weeks of Lent, our sermon series will align with Falling Into Goodness by Chuck DeGroat. You are invited to read the book alongside the sermon series. The short, daily Lenten reflections can be read individually, as a family, or also in a small group setting. Books can be purchased at the Welcome Center for $9. Join us on this reflective journey through Lent.
Congregational Meeting
There will be a brief congregational meeting on Sunday, March 16 after the morning worship service to approve the new articles of incorporation for Evergreen Ministries. Absentee Ballots are available in the courtyard at the Welcome Center.
