Last Week's Highlights
Week 2: Settling In
As we wrap up Week 2, it looks like things are starting to smooth out! Most of us are feeling pretty good, with just a few bumps along the way. Thanks to everyone who shared. Your feedback helps us stay connected and responsive.
Week In Review
From device repairs to data systems, every member played a vital role in keeping our district running smoothly. Nick Taylor ensured students had the tools they needed by replacing keyboards, screens, and distributing accessories through My Payments Plus. Michelle Robinson led critical data uploads, including DIBELS and SAT scores into Infinite Campus and Naviance, while also preparing Keystone testing charts and AP reports to support curriculum planning and assessment readiness. James Boulton tackled phone issues and brought the new Tech Ed laser online, alongside ongoing Lenovo repairs. On the infrastructure side, Corey Smith automated Cyber student filtering, created security groups in Azure, and conducted a firewall audit with Andrew Smith, enhancing endpoint management and network security. Kevin Kreyenhagen supported website updates, device cleanup, and safety drill troubleshooting, while also joining walkthroughs and meetings to align tech with building needs.
Instructional support was equally strong. Carina Eife collaborated on CB Policy Course attendance, trained a Copilot Pro winner, and produced a Spotlight training video, while offering hands-on help at East and Bridge Valley. Lindsay Smith participated in strategic meetings focused on realignment, instructional priorities, and special education logistics, and helped finalize the “See the Good Be the Good” student design contest. James Baldridge prepared new laptops and deployed iPads for incoming students, ensuring readiness for the school year. Ryan Garvin continued RingCentral deployments, installed paging adapters, and updated access control systems, while William Everett supported PA system installations, provisioned gateways, and verified network connectivity across buildings.
Laurel Podraza and Daniel Whittaker addressed Spotlight tool issues, built new SharePoint flows, and prepared for future scheduling and payroll systems. Mike Kelly published new apps to the Company Portal, developed scripts to improve installations, and implemented alerts for unauthorized software use, while also investigating device tampering and supporting phishing remediation. Harry Krotz and the onsite tech team closed 669 incidents, resolving a wide array of issues from iPad functionality and projector performance to scanner connectivity and browser compatibility. Their work also included prepping Gen11 iPads for a K–2 refresh and coordinating with Lenovo to ensure priority shipping for parts, reinforcing CBSD’s standing in the Self-Maintainer program.

See the Good, Be the Good
As part of our district-wide theme for 2025–26, See the Good, Be the Good, we’re highlighting moments of positivity, collaboration, and impact across our schools and ESC. Each week, staff are invited to share examples of “good” they’ve seen — whether it’s a small act of kindness, a team effort, or a breakthrough that made a difference. Here are two standout moments from this week’s submissions:
🛠️ Helpdesk Team Collaboration
One team member observed the Helpdesk team working together to resolve over 200 parent portal emails, a huge support to our community. This year, we’ve expanded access by providing transportation information in the IC Parent Portal for our Private School families — a new initiative that’s already making a difference. Great job, Helpdesk Team!
📞 Building Tech Team Dedication
Our building tech team has been doing an amazing job fielding a high volume of support tickets while also managing the rollout of the new phone system. It’s been more challenging than expected, but their persistence and teamwork are deeply appreciated. Thank you for your hard work and commitment!
