The Beauty of China Yesenia Hernandez

The word beauty is in the dictionary as something having a combination of qualities. These qualities range from color, shape, or form, which I think describes China perfectly. During my two weeks abroad in China, I was able to see the beauty within. I got to experience so many colors, so many shapes, and so many different forms. All these qualities were present in their current art, food, architecture, and history.

There is beauty present in the architecture of China. I am very grateful that I was able to witness it in person while abroad. Here is an example of such beauty, this is a picture of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, China. The architecture has many beautiful colors, shapes, and forms. The Temple of Heaven also has a lot of history. It was built on the religious principles that were current when it was constructed between 1406 and 1420.

Example of the beauty of China's food and restaurants

Beauty is present in China's foods through many ways. One way being due to the cultural history regarding their food. I had the amazing opportunity to try many different dishes during my time abroad. Especially the popular dishes that would differ between each city. All food was always full of color and ranged between many different tastes and shapes.

Another way that beauty is present in China is through their traditional ways of eating and sharing food. While abroad I realized that everywhere we went to eat, we were always sharing the food. Not once did we have our own separate meals, we all ate together and shared the food that was placed in the middle of the table. This is beautiful because it encourages union and harmony.

Beauty is also present in China through their art. During the two weeks we were in China, we visited some art galleries and museums. Which is where I was able to see beautiful art that ranged between different colors, shapes, and forms.

In conclusion, China is very beautiful. It is a country where beauty can be found all over. I had so much fun on this amazing opportunity to study abroad and I hope that many more people are able to enjoy it in the future.
