8th Graders Get a Taste of Culture with Homemade Salsa Verde
Students in Ms. Cantrell’s 8th grade Spanish class recently rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on cultural learning experience: making fresh salsa verde. As part of their lesson, students practiced vocabulary and followed Spanish-language instructions while chopping, mixing, and preparing the traditional dish. The activity offered a fun and engaging way to connect language learning with cultural traditions—plus plenty of opportunities for taste-testing.
