This was the image that jumped me off in fantasy photography.

From there I continued trying to make my images look straight out of a dream.

While trying to make this dreamy feeling there were many personal failures.

Later in the year I tried thinking of a guiding question and ended up with "How can I make my images have a dreamy fantasy feel using high saturation and image fracturing?".

These are the base photos I used as a base for my Capstone.

My first attempt at editing my capstone was to under welling and under saturation on paper; and in hindsight I didn't really like the what I had done with the editing. Instead of test printing and revising my edits I moved forward to step two of my original plan.

Step two of the original plan was to take smaller photos that zoomed in on specific areas of my images. The smaller photos were going to be edited differently from the base image. There were sixteen original zoomed in photos like the ones above. After I took these photos I had a realization that I wouldn't be able to edit all the photos on time.

After a small break I reevaluated my work and researched some more artists to take inspiration from.

One of my original artist was Laurent Chéhère. I was drawn to his images because of his floating buildings that gave a magical feel.

An artist I found after more research was Kevin Landwer-Johan. He was the artist that inspired by photos the most. With his photo fracturing style.

Joel Robison was an artist I had found at the start of this project, but look closely at until I re-examined my project. I took inspiration from his colorful dreamy photos.

After examining these artist's work, I decided to go all in and scrap my original plan. I decided to go for a blend between all of their work for my capstone.

My work explores the look and feel of a Dream World. I examined the works of artists like Laurent Chéhère and Kevin Landwer-Johan. I took inspiration from Laurent Chéhère’s Flying Houses and chose to use buildings as the center of my capstone. After I had my center images I chose a similar blocky style to Kevin Landwer-Johan. I was able to get this blocky look from cutting images and laying them into photoshop. My goal with this exhibition is to give people the feel of a dream.
