ATL TINKERFEST - INTELOVATION 3.0
"Uniting for progress: Together, forging a sustainable future through positive evolution."
ATL Tinkering Fest - Intelovation 3.0, aligning with the National Technology Day celebrations was organised on 10th May 2024. The event aimed to foster scientific knowledge and creativity among students, with a specific focus on Sustainable Development Goals. Participating schools from Delhi/NCR brought forth a diverse pool of talent. The fest featured an Inter-School Competition challenging students to showcase their abilities through various events, while also offering insightful workshops on emerging technologies and their practical applications. Distinguished guests, including the School's Director, Shri BB Gupta, and Headmistress, Ms. Kavita Mehrotra, alongside expert judges, graced the occasion.
The culmination of the event was marked by a lively closing ceremony, where winners were acknowledged, and the significance of technology in shaping our world was highlighted, inspiring a new wave of innovators. Bal Bhavan Public School, Swasthya Vihar, earned the prestigious title of Best School.

Bal Bhavan Public School proudly hosted a momentous occasion, the Investiture Ceremony for the New Student Council 2024-25, on 3rd May 2024. The event marked the induction of 36 dynamic individuals into pivotal roles that will shape the school's ethos and culture in the upcoming academic session.
Guided by the capable leadership of Head Girl Yashaswi and Head Boy Aryan Singh from Class XII, the newly appointed council members represent a diverse and talented cohort poised to lead with integrity and dedication.
The ceremony was a celebration of talent and commitment, featuring captivating musical and dance performances that enthralled the audience. Parents of the elected council members, along with esteemed dignitaries, witnessed the inauguration with pride and joy.
The Investiture Ceremony at Bal Bhavan Public School exemplified the spirit of leadership, collaboration, and excellence that defines the institution, setting the stage for a year of growth and achievement.
SDG TAIWAN COLLABORATION
Yet another International collaboration session with the students and teachers of Taichung Junior High School, Taiwan. It was a remarkable experience as students from both the schools shared their learning experiences towards making this Earth a better place focusing upon the sustainable development goals.

"NURTURING CONNECTIONS : Insights into Teenage Challenges and Holistic Development"
The school organized a seminar titled "Bridging the Gap: Insights into Adolescent Challenges" on April 4th, 2024. The event featured Ms. Sarita Jadav, National Programme Officer at UNESCO New Delhi Office, as the esteemed guest, engaging with parents on adolescent issues and facilitating discussions to bridge generational divides. A key highlight was a video presentation highlighting the school's Health and Wellness program, underscoring its commitment to holistic development. Furthermore, parents had individual consultations with Principal Mr. Vividh Gupta, who provided insights into school policies and guidelines. Ms. Sarita Jadav emphasized the significance of communication among parents, educators, and teenagers, commending the school's proactive approach to enabling student success.
DEWORMING CAMPAIGN
Under the directives of the Directorate of Education, a deworming programme was conducted at BBPSMV. With parental consent, students were administered deworming tablets to promote their overall health. This initiative aims to combat parasitic infections and enhance students' well-being. The programme highlights the school's commitment to prioritize the health and welfare of its students.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
"A cheerful smile and warm welcome set the tone for a positive start to the school journey of our little ones."
A smile is a welcome sight that invites people in, and with this spirit little Bal Bhavanites stepped in with their smiles right in our heart.
Tiny tots were dispensed with an overwhelming atmosphere, where they rejoiced various swings, games and lot more to mention. They marked their first social relation with their peers and embraced non-verbal cues as their expression of love. We welcomed our little champs by reciting rhymes with attractive properties and joyful expressions. Our tiny tots were carried away with the melodious music and could not resist to hum the rhyme.
Their high spirits and energy made us submerged in a sea of gratification.
At the end of the session, the little Bal Bhavanites were presented with SMILEE handouts to each child. It was an amazing experience to see the lovely smiling faces.
Overall, it was an amazing experience witnessing the enthusiasm and happiness of our tiny newcomers.
NATIONAL CIVIL SERVICES DAY CELEBRATION
The library of Bal Bhavan Public School came alive with the celebration of World Book Day. Students from all grades enthusiastically participated in various activities like "Musical Book Chair" đș, "Poster Making Activity" , "Globe Activity" đ and "Book Repair Activity" đ. These activities aimed at promoting the importance of books and reading. Through engaging activities and initiatives, students not only celebrated the magic of literature but also took meaningful steps towards promoting literacy and access to books for all.
BAISAKHI CELEBRATION
âYou must give to get. You must sow the seed before you can reap the harvest.â
To make our children aware of the spring harvest festival in all its essence, the students celebrated Baisakhi. The assembly started with a prayer to seek blessings from the Almighty for a prosperous harvest season. Students of class III shared the principles of sharing and caring for needy as well as fostering a sense of compassion and empathy. The students spoke some lines telling the importance and significance of celebrating Baisakhi. This was followed by a descriptive poem on rural life and yellow fields, blooming with the golden harvest. It accentuated the importance of our rich cultural heritage, traditions and values. An energetic dance was also presented by the girls. This helped them learn more about Indiaâs festivals and rich cultural heritage.

WORLD HEALTH DAY
âPrioritize wellness, celebrate World Health Day!â
Students of classes 3rd to 5th celebrated World Health Day on April 7, 2024, with enthusiasm and dedication towards promoting health and well-being. The students of class V took centre stage to discuss the significance of healthy eating habits. They highlighted the role of nutritious food in maintaining good health. Students in the 4th grade participated in fitness sessions led by their teachers, enjoyed various physical activities aimed at promoting active lifestyles and enhancing physical well-being.
Students gained valuable insights into the importance of nutrition, fitness, and overall well-being, setting the stage for a healthier future.
ATL COMMUNITY DAY
âTinkering is a hands-on, experiential learning approach that emphasizes exploration, experimentation, and creativity.â
Students of Class IInd- Vth celebrated ATL community showcase day 12th april,2024. Class II students were involved in 3D robot model making activity whereas class III-V students made 3D satellite models.
Tinkering involved manipulating materials, tools to construct, modify objects in an open-ended and playful manner. It encouraged learners to engage in trial-and-error, problem-solving, and discovery-based learning, fostered a deeper understanding of concepts and skills.
Participants deepened their understanding of satellite components, such as solar panels, antennas, sensors, and propulsion systems, as they incorporated these elements into their model. Learners learnt about the science behind satellites, including their functions, and applications in fields such as communication, navigation, and Earth observation.
Overall, a 3D satellite making activity provides a hands-on, interdisciplinary learning experience that integrates various aspects of STEM education.
READING WEEK
âReading is essential for those who want to rise above the ordinary.â
Taking a break from textbooks and diving into a week of reading bliss, the students of Bal Bhavan devoted their time in reading fun and interesting stories to mark the âReading Weekâ. Students embraced the power of words during this week, and they found time to dive into new adventures and escape reality for a while!
Our tiny little tots of class 1 and 2 had an awe-inspiring storytelling session after which they prepared bookmarks.Students of class 5 displayed role play filled with lots of emotion and drama.
The students were encouraged to explore the CBSE reading app and engage their time in diverse reading.
ROAD SAFETY
When it comes to road safety, the timeless wisdom, âBetter Late than Neverâ serves as a reminder that taking the time to prioritize safety is never in vain.
Today, our dynamic Bal Bhavanites of Class V-F took the lead in spreading awareness on road safety during the morning assembly! With great enthusiasm and creativity, the students orchestrated a compelling presentation focused on driving safety and road awareness. Through an engaging mime act, they skillfully depicted various real-life scenarios illustrating the importance of cautious and responsible driving habits. Their dedication and creativity exemplify the values we strive to instill in our students â responsibility, awareness, and leadership. They inspired everyone to prioritize safety on the roads. Let's all pledge to follow traffic rules and take precautions for a safer journey ahead!
WORLD MALARIA DAY
âAccelerating the fight against malaria for a more equitable world.â
World Malaria Day was celebrated by the students of class 2nd to 5th on 20th April 2024. The students of Class II conducted an assembly to raise awareness about malaria and its prevention. They presented an informative "Nukkad Natak" illustrating the causes, symptoms, and consequences of malaria.
Meanwhile, students of class 5th conducted a survey on World Malaria Day. The activity raises awareness about malaria prevention and treatment. The event not only enriched their knowledge but also fostered a sense of responsibility towards global health issues.
WORLD EARTH DAY
âOur continuing efforts in our everyday lives will make this beautiful planet thrive.â
World Earth Day was celebrated by the students of Class II to V at Bal Bhavan Public School from April 22 to 24, 2024, providing them with valuable opportunities to connect with nature, learn about environmental conservation, and engage in hands-on activities that promote sustainability.
Students of classes 2ndâŻand 3rd enthusiastically participated in making seed balls using soil and seeds. They learned about the importance of seed dispersal and how seed balls can help in reforestation efforts. Students in 4th grade learned about waste management and the concept of upcycling by forming eco-bricks using plastic bottles and waste plastic materials.
Students embarked on a field trip to explore medicinal plants in their natural habitat. Led by knowledgeable guides, they learned about various plants and their medicinal properties. Students visited the school's terrace garden, where they were introduced to the principles of organic farming and composting. They learned about the importance of using natural fertilisers and pesticides, as well as the benefits of composting for soil health.
DOCTORâS DAY
Doctor's Day is celebrated to honour the contributions of doctors and medical professionals to society. It is a day to recognize their dedication, compassion, and the invaluable services they provide to humanity.
On Doctorâs Day, the Class-II teachers dressed up as doctors and spoke to the students about the vital role that doctors play in our society. They showed the students a first aid box and explained the importance and significance of each tool and item inside the kit.
HERITAGE DAY
âIndia is a land that all men desire to see, and having seen once, by even a glimpse, would not give that glimpse for all the shows of all the rest of the globe combined.â
Heritage week was celebrated in the school. The students learned about the process of how a site becomes a UNESCO World Heritage site. They took a virtual tour of various UNESCO World Heritage sites. Class III took virtual tour of various monumental places of the capital. All the students looked fairly excited and participative, sharing their previous experiences.
The students of class IV went on a virtual tour of world heritage sites of South India. They saw the structures of Mahabalipuram and Hampi.
Class V took off a virtual tour to UNESCO heritage sites of western India.
