NEWS FROM THE HEALTH OFFICE - Repeat Message
We are having our annual Vision and Hearing Screening on 9/13/24. We screen all students in the building except 4th graders. If you want your fourth-grade student(s) to be screened, please email: tbouchard@psdschools.org
Please make sure your student(s) wear(s) glasses/contacts to school on the screening day.
We are also looking for volunteers on the screening day. Volunteer hours are 8:30am - 12:30pm. (or as your schedule allows).
Please make sure you are registered to volunteer for the district. (It takes about 5-10 days to register for the first time.)
News from the Office - Repeat Messages
Drop Off times in the Morning
Breakfast service begins at 8:05, please do not drop students off at school prior to 8:05.
Supervision on the playgrounds starts at 8:15, please do not drop of students at the playground or allow students to arrive prior to 8:15.
East Stuart Traffic
Please support our community and build safe habits with our kids by using the cross walks on either end of East Stuart. Please do not cross East Stuart in between busses and cars. Please also remember that it is illegal to make a U-Turn on East Stuart.
CAMPUS CLOSED DURING SCHOOL HOURS
We kindly ask that you refrain from entering the Riffenburgh school campus before 3:00 PM. This helps ensure that our students can fully engage in their classroom activities without distractions, and to ensure our playground is available for grade level/classroom recesses.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a focused learning environment for our students. If you need to pick up your child early, please come to the main office for assistance.

School Accountability Teams are a partnership between the school staff, families, and community members that together: look at schoolwide data, create a Unified Improvement Plan for our school, give input on funding and resources, and so much more.

Riffenburgh Start Times
The following are important times to note....
- 8:05am Cafeteria opens for Breakfast (Please do not send students to school prior to 8:05am)
- 8:15am Supervision on Campus Starts (If student is not eating breakfast, this is when drop off begins)
- 8:25am Classroom Doors Open
- 8:30 Official Start Time, Learning for the Day officially begins
* If you arrive after 8:30am, please come to the front office entry to sign in and drop off your student.

Reporting Absences Thru ParentVUE
Why Use ParentVUE for Absences
If a student is not attending school for the day or series of days, the parent has the ability to document this absence in ParentVUE instead of making a call and leaving a voicemail for the attendance clerk.
How to Enter an Absence
- Log in to ParentVUE
- Click on "Report Absences" (listed on the left side panel)
- Mark either 'E for Excused" or "EI for Excused Illness'. You can submit the attendance for a signledate or a range of dates by clicking on each day. (Future absences are not visible in PVUE until the date of the absence.)
- Please leave a comment in the notes section, explaining the absence.
- Click Save
Please let the Attendance Office know about ALL absences even if you have alerted the Classroom Teacher.

Volunteering at Riffenburgh
If you plan on Volunteering at Rifenburgh, you must register or check that your status is current with Poudre School District (PSD) thru the following portal (renewasl are every 3 years) before you come to school.
** Pelase remember to bring a Government Issued Identification (Driver's License)(DIGITAL IDs are not accepted) to school when you check in as a Vistor or Volunteer. This is a requirement for the Check In process.***

Classroom Treats
If it is necessary to have food in classrooms during school hours (i.e. birthday snack, holidays, special occasions, school events, etc.),
- only commercially prepared and packaged, INDIVIDUAL items (NO CAKES or HUGE COOKIES ) with ATTACHED ingredient labels from retail stores can be served
- contact your child's teacher prior to sending food or treats in
- do not send in Balloons or Gifts for the Birthday Child
- all treats should come to the Main Office
