English - We continued to look at fables this week. We came up with our own fables! This required us to decide on a big and small animal as our main characters before coming up with a plan that included a problem and solution. We looked more closely at morals of fables by reading lots of different fables and trying to figure out the message it was portraying.
Reading - On a Friday, we look at songs in our reading session. This week, we read ‘Part of your World’ from The Little Mermaid. We then watched a clip of this song from the movie before answering some questions about it and discussing the meaning behind the song.
Maths - We enhanced our place value knowledge this week by comparing different numbers. We looked at the value of the hundreds, tens and ones column to support us in doing this. We also learned our 8 x table song this week. We sang a song to remember it as well as playing 8 x table bingo!
R.E - We started our new R.E topic this week which was all about what makes us human. We looked at what makes humans special and what we think a soul is before drawing our own interpretation of what a soul might look like.
Spanish - We have been learning different instructions in Spanish this week to follow in the classroom. We learned sit down, stand up, listen, look and lots more! We added actions to help us remember them.
