Head Coach
“This experience is invaluable for our student-athletes and the Women’s Ice Hockey program. Traveling to Sweden, specifically their capital Stockholm, also known as the Venice of the North, will not only provide an opportunity for our student-athletes to be immersed into a different culture, but it will also provide a high level training and competitive experience that will translate to our 2024-2025 season.
The history we will be surrounded by as we acclimate after travel will create memories of a lifetime. Experiences like visiting the Nobel Prize Museum, Royal History Museum, and the world famous Museum of Modern Art are ones that will allow for our student-athletes to truly learn the Scandinavian culture.
Through the course of the trip we will face a very high level of competition, facing the Swedish Olympic Development Team along with the Swedish National Team, allowing for our student-athletes to not only compete against Olympic athletes, but to build awareness and growth of Women’s Ice Hockey internationally. We are thankful for the relationship and opportunity created by the Swedish Ice Hockey Federation for this opportunity and to showcase The Ohio State University Women’s Ice Hockey Team on the international stage.
The bonding and memories that will take place, both on and off the ice, on this trip are priceless.”
