The referral system equipped medicine store staff with straightforward tools to direct individuals showing tuberculosis symptoms to free testing and treatment services.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Postpartum Women

The Mothers Time intervention in Ethiopia is a cognitive behavioral therapy tool tailored for postpartum women experiencing mild to moderate anxiety or depression. A cluster randomized controlled trial demonstrated a significant reduction in anxiety and depression symptoms, improved communication with partners about family planning, and an increase in modern contraceptive use.

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Breakthrough ACTION designed a solution to tackle the widespread misconception that basic healthcare services were unaffordable.
