FALL SPORTS RECAP Blazers 2023-2024 Fall Season

LOWER SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY

The Lower School Cross Country team had an impressive season with sixty-seven enthusiastic students participating. Over the course of the season, they competed in three challenging meets, showcasing their determination to improve their running skills. Their hard work paid off, as they put on a remarkable performance and came in second place in the CYO Championships! The team had fun running around with their amazing coaches, learning about running and finding joy in running alongside their classmates. Congratulations to the Lower School Cross Country team on an outstanding season!

MIDDLE SCHOOL FALL SPORTS

Our Middle School athletes brought their A-game to the court, field, and trails this fall season. Over ninety students participated across three E-lective sports: Cross Country, Boys and Girls Soccer, and Volleyball.

The camaraderie across the middle school was felt as the volleyball teams constantly had their friends show up and support them at their home games in Schuchart Gym. The volleyball teams improved their skills across the board and brought enthusiasm to each practice.

Out on the soccer field, the boys and girls teams brought a competitive drive to each practice. They will have memories of taking over Starfire Field for Blazer Bash, playing in the pouring rain, and building their soccer knowledge alongside their teammates.

There was something special about all the cross-country teams this fall. The middle school team balanced hard hill workouts with fun team relay races. This prepared them for each meet they competed in as both the boys and girls cross country team won the Cross-Town Middle School League Championship!

We are proud of all our Middle School athletes for leading their teams, leaning in and trying something new, and for building memories with one another. Thank you for a great fall season!

A young but eager team took the field this year for the Blazers. The hard work and dedication to developing and improving their game throughout the season was visible in the close contest at the end of the season. A large part of Ultimate is embracing the spirit of the game through competing for each point and showing respect for their opponent. Our team successfully did that each and every time they took the field. The growth throughout the season leaves us excited for the future of Blazer Ultimate!
