Lusófono Student Association

Who are we?

The purpose of Lusófono Student Association is to provide a welcoming environment for students from Portuguese-speaking regions of the world. LuSA aims to bring a safe, inclusive platform where they can share their experiences with their culture, and educate others about Lusófono culture. At St. Francis, students of Lusófono descent may not see themselves represented in the school community, and LuSA aims to combat this through fun activities like meet and greets, guest speakers, movie events, and others, in order to make students feel comfortable speaking about their experiences growing up as a minority, specifically as a Lusófono, both at Saint Francis High School and the U.S.
