QB: Marcus Mariota
Marcus Mariota is defiantly not a starter but he could be worth adding for some weeks, as for the rest of the year he plays the Cowboys, Dolphins, and Giants, and on average he plays the 10th worst QB defense. This week he will play the Lions who are the 21st fantasy defense vs QBs, but they allow the 6th most passing touchdowns which is a big decider when it comes to fantasy. That seems good, but the bad thing for Mariota is the Lions allow the 7th least rush yards per carry, and Mariota averages 7 yards per carry. Terry McLaurin will return soon enough which is a great thing for Mariota because Jayden Daniels second best game this year came when McLaurin had his only game with over 90 snap percentage. Jayden Daniels third best game came when McLaurin had his second most snap percentage, so as it should Daniels has played better with McLaurin all year, and when McLaurin comes back Mariota will be much better, knowing how easy the matchups are for McLaurin.
RB: Devin Singletary
Yes this is the obvious answer because this week Tyrone Tracy had only 44 snap percentage, while Singletary had 56 percent. The Giants didn’t run the ball much since they were down the whole game but Singletary ran the ball 3 more times as Tracy, and this seems to show that maybe Tracy is the backup? This week the Giants play the Bears, who are known for allowing many fantasy points, are the 12th worst fantasy rushing defense, and they allow the 9th most rushing yards to RB1s. This is great for Singletary who averaged 6 yards a rush last week so if he gets more carries, he is sure to have a great rushing day. You Probably should be picking up Singletary before he obviously becomes the starter.
WR: Parker Washington
Brian Thomas Jr is questionable this week, and even if he does play he will be on a snap count like previous weeks. I think Parker Washington will be the main receiver 2 this game behind Jacobi Meyers. In the last two games Parker Washington has gotten much more playing time and targets averaging 88 snap percentage and 10 targets. Jakobi Meyers has averaged only 7 fantasy points per game in the last 2 games, while Parker Washington averages 14 points. I hope Parker Washington can get more targets than Meyers, but I know Lawrence is going to want to play with his shiny new toy. The Texans may be the 7th best fantasy defense vs WRs, but they are bottom half of the league when it comes to allowing targets. The Texans secondary is going to be way to focused on Meyers and Thomas, giving Parker Washington the opportunity to score big in fantasy. Washington could be a flex spot this week.
TE: Dalton Schultz
This feels like an obvious one for me after he scored 13 against the 11th best tight end defense, and now he faces the Jaguars the 3rd worst tight end defense. If you are in a PPR league he should be an automatic pickup, because the Jaguars allow the 3rd most targets and 2nd most receptions to tight ends. Even if you aren’t in a PPR league, the Jaguars allow the 2nd most tight end yards, and touchdowns. I don’t have much to say about Schultz, but it is really just the great matchup. Schultz played his most snaps last week, and got his second most targets, so the Texans defiantly view him as a viable option in the passing game.
