Chloe's Portfolio Art FALL 2024 COMPUTER ART 1

Pomme

Here I have created just a simple apple. Even though it is simple it is meant to have texture and detail to help replicate what a real apple looks like. In this project I learned a lot about how texture contributes to the realism of the piece. My main goal with this piece was to get it to look as real as I could and I feel I achieved that or got very close to it. I hope that when people look at this they are able to pinpoint the fine details of this apple as that's the only thing that makes it pop.

Summer Apple

This is a nice, light on the eyes piece that showcases an apple hanging from a tree branch. What came from this piece was amazing, I learned how important mediums were in art and how to properly make shadows and lights blend. My goal with this piece was to make it look like it was in some enchanted forest trying to showcase the apple. I feel that I achieved what I went for and it turned out to be exactly how I wanted it. I hope that when people see this piece that they bring their attention to the apple itself with the light shining down on it.

In The Ocean

Here is a piece full of lines and many more lines. I learned many ways on how to achieve depth in a piece using lines to create dark and light areas. My goal with this piece was to use the lines in a correct way to make sense of the piece. I believe I did a good job with the texture of the piece although I could have done better with lighting and shading with lines and cross hatching. When people are looking at it I want them to be able to recognize what kind of animal it is. I want people to be able to see the small patterns of line inside of the piece as well.

90’s It

The 90’s are starting to come back, at least that's what all of the stores say. This piece showcases the chaoticness and the fun clothing that was here back then. I learned from this piece on how to pay attention to fine details, as sometimes they do matter. My goal with this piece was to make it as realistic as possible while maintaining the fun art style of patterns. I think I did achieve this. I wanted to add chaoticness inside of the piece with glitchy sections to add to the time of the radio. Overall this piece in my mind was a success. When people look at this I want them to look at it and go “Oh this must be a guy from the 90’s.” I want people to be able to recognize what time this piece was set in.

Starry Night 2.0

This piece features a large vast galaxy full of stars, but there is one star in particular that is larger than the others. I wanted this piece to focus on the beauty in things and to show what kind of beauty exists outside of our world. I learned many things in this piece such as blending color pallets. In this piece it was important for me to choose colors that worked well together which I think I did. My goal with this piece was to showcase all of the things we could find out of our world. I am very happy with how this piece turned out, the colors turned out exactly how I wanted them and I achieved the look I was going for. When people look at this piece I want them to pay attention to all of the fine details, because that is what makes the piece pop.
