Dear parents/guardians,
Sports Day
Thank you for your support and kind words on Friday. I hope that pupils enjoyed the morning. A special well done to our year six pupils who ran the activities for the first half of sports day.
As well as a fabulous morning of activities, we raised over £500. Thank you once again for your support and commitment to the school.
Rugby
Well done to our rugby team who travelled to Aberystwyth last Sunday. The standard of competition was very high and all pupils represented the school with courage and determination. Despite a few debatable refereeing decisions we made it to the quarterfinals where we lost to a strong team from Newport who made it all of the way to the finals.
Summer Fete - 24th May
Our summer fete is planned for Friday 24th May. Please note that there will be no childcare provision on this afternoon. If this is an issue, please contact the school office.
What can you look forward to:
- Horses visiting the meadow field.
- Ice Cream for sale (Friends of the school will be offering excellent value).
- Fairground rides.
- Class stalls.
Asymmetric Survey - LAST CHANCE TO COMPLETE.
The local authority has asked me to gather parents' opinion on the asymmetric week. The questions have been set by the local authority and responses are set to anonymous. If there is anything specific relating to the asymmetric week that you would like to discuss, please contact me via my email address.
Free School Meals
If you qualify for free school meals, please register even though all children now receive a free meal.
A significant part of our financial funding is linked to the number of pupils who are registered for free school meals.
Best wishes,
Mr. Williams.

Attendance Reminder
Well done to LRC1 who achieved 100% attendance this week. You are our best class this week. This is the second week in a row. Well done!
Don't forget the really useful guidance provided by the NHS: Is my child too ill for school?
This will help you make a decision about whether to keep a child off school or send them in. Please remember that minor coughs and colds should not prevent a child from coming into school.
This time of year is really exciting and busy. If children miss school they are not only missing learning, but often will miss lots of our special events and activities, which makes them feel left out.
