Community Comes Together to Support Otselic Valley Families
Otselic Valley Central School District collaborated with several local community organizations this season to support families experiencing food insecurity through the Holiday Basket initiative. The effort highlighted the strong relationships and shared commitment that make our community so special. Representatives from multiple organizations joined school staff to accept a generous donation from the Otselic Valley Teachers Association, represented by Jessica Stoklosa. Community organizations involved included:
- South Otselic United Methodist Church – Melanie Simmons
- The Sunshine Shop – Sarah Hite
- Town of Otselic – Stacie Morse
- Otselic Valley Fishing & Heritage Association – Terry and Mike Foor-Pessin
This collaborative effort, supported by OV staff, community groups, and generous donors, helped ensure that families received meaningful support during the holiday season. The Holiday Basket initiative reflects the power of community connection and the willingness of neighbors to come together in support of one another. Otselic Valley extends heartfelt thanks to everyone involved for their generosity and dedication. Your support made a real difference for families in need and demonstrated the true spirit of OV Pride throughout our community.
