I created a postcard of my favorite city, Los Angeles. I learned how to input photos from the internet into my title. My goal was to share and express the liveliness of the city itself. Los Angeles is a city always filled with countless places to visit and see. I felt a little discouraged that I wasn't able to fully finish my project. I hope my audience feels the same excitement and acceleration from the city's famous landmarks just as I do whenever I visit.
Teens yearly experience so much stress and pressure. My goal was to symbolize the way teens are constantly being compared, reminded, and given too much to handle all at once. This piece was created to resemble exactly that. I learned how to neatly take random pictures and put them together to create a bigger meaning.I feel this embodies the exact way i feel sometimes especially in my last years of highschool. I hope my audience can all resonate with this piece and relate to it because we all went through the same pressure and high expectations thrown on us.
I created a thriller monster movie poster with my favorite colors that all consisted of different types of pink. I learned how to create my own patterns, while also learning how to create dimensions with only four colors. My goal was to create a movie poster that wasn’t too dark and scary but the right amount of it to make it a thriller. I felt surprised at the end of it because I was actually able to create exactly what I had envisioned. The different pinks used remind me of bumble gum which is what I want my audience to notice, and the name of my monster is Gingiva meaning “Gums.” My goal was to find a name for my movie and find a color palette that was going to be connected to one another.
I created a book cover that was from my absolute favorite book called “when.” The book “when” is a mystery and a depressing story but ends in the happiest outcome. I learned how to take different textures and input them into my photos and then put it all together to create my final project. My goal was to create the same suspense the original cover of the book has. I feel great about my final outcome because it really does resemble the mystery of who the main character is and how she’s stuck with this “curse.” I hope my audience is able to understand why the cover was created the way it was and find an interest to learn more about the actual book.
