Rich + Christa Clark strengthening marriages and families in a culture that's losing hope

Who We Are + Why We Care

After watching this brief video, please click the X in the top right corner of the vid to return to this page.

We're Rich + Christa Clark. We're a blended & thriving couple from Tacoma WA. We've been volunteering in the marriage and relationship space for over a decade and now have the thrill & honor to come on board with FamilyLife as full-time local missionaries with a focus on marriage and family.

We were both previously married & experienced divorces we didn't want. We know the pain and ripple effect of the trauma that divorce brings. Our boys know that pain, too. We want to help everyone we can, not only avoid the tragedy we experienced, but have a thriving marriage full of JOY!

The Gig

As Ministry Representatives at Weekend to Remember (WTR), we'll be like project managers for these marriage conferences in multiple cities to help ensure the event is successful. After each event, we'll follow up with attendees who request help with next steps- finding a local church, obtaining more resources, creating or joining a class, group or community. We'll get to work with events throughout the Pacific NW, which could look like anything between Idaho & Alaska!

What's Needed

As local missionaries, we need three things to make this project THRIVE.

  1. Prayer. If you're the praying type please pray for us!! Our ministry, family, personal marriage as we invest in other marriages... We need lots of prayer!
  2. Financial Partnerships. Our ministry is crowd funded. Many hands make light work... like many investors make the large monthly sum manageable.
  3. Connections. If you know someone who'd be encouraged to hear about our ministry, we would LOVE to meet them!! Please forward them this link and ask them if we can connect with them.

Abuse Resources

Abuse is a very serious topic for us. Before marrying Rich, I, Christa, was in an abusive marriage. More than 25% of women in churches are being abused. Men can also be abused by their wives.

As a young, naive Christian wife, I 1) didn't know there was various types of abuse 2) didn't know the warning signs to look for BEFORE getting married 3) didn't know where to turn for resources when I found myself in the abusive marriage 4) didn't know how to stand up for myself.

We're here to do better. Below are a few of our favorite resources. Though we have not scoured every corner of each website, generally we trust each of these options and feel safe using them as resources.
