Hello! Welcome back to a new school year - or welcome to our school if your child has joined us for the first time. We're really pleased to work together with you all to bring about great experiences for our children. It has been wonderful to see children settle into the new school year so brilliantly this week. Thank you for supporting your children to be ready for school.
Our new wraparound club is now in place - you can use just breakfast club OR after school club, and after school has 3 pick up times: 4:15, 5:00 and 5:45, so that you only pay for what you need. This wraparound provision is here to stay - we have appointed our own permanent staff for it and we look forward to providing quality before and after school care for our families. You can book places for any sessions using the Arbor app - or please pop to see our admin team if you need some help. We accept tax free childcare vouchers - just chat to our admin team to ensure that this works for you.
I wanted to express our enormous thanks to Mrs Parr who stepped down as our chair of governors at the end of the last school year. Mrs Parr has been a governor for many years and has been a huge support for children, staff, parents and the community over her time as a governor - because she loves the school! Mrs Parr will continue to work with the school to do a music and drama summer show, so this is not goodbye, but we want to express our thanks as her time as a governor ends.
We hope that you have a fabulous weekend - don't forget to pop and see us on the bridge, contact us on Dojo or Arbor if you need us, or pick up the phone. We always want to work with you to get the best for your child.
This week our Internet Safety Guide from the National College is information about supporting families to set guidelines for using devices. Please remember that you can talk to us if you're worried about your child's time online or see here: https://saferinternet.org.uk/online-issue/reporting
Thank you for your continued support of our school and for supporting your child by ensuring they're at school on time and they read at least 4 times each week. If you would like to discuss any aspect of your child's time in school you can email enquiries@sqp.wwpat.org, find me on ClassDojo or chat to me at the start or end of the school day.
At Swinton Queen Primary School, children are aspirational, courageous and inquisitive; respectful of all.
