Thursday Night Football returns with another clash that could shape the trajectory of the season. With playoff implications looming and rosters pushed to their limits on a short week, every snap matters just a little more. Whether you're tuning in for breakout stars, gritty rivalries, or game-changing moments, tonight promises intensity, unpredictability, and the kind of drama only primetime football can deliver.
Eagles vs Giants will be an NFC West showdown that will be Jaxson Darts biggest test, and we will see if the Eagles can come back after a loss last week. Jaxson Dart is dead last in QB passing yards per game this year for QBs that have started a game. Now he will go against an Eagles defense that is middle of the league for pass yards allowed per game. So far with Jaxson Dart, Wandale Robinson averages 4 catches, and 22 yards per game and same thing with Jaxson Dart, the Eagles are middle of the pack vs WR1s. So what part of Giants vs Eagles is different? The Redzone where most scoring happens. If you want to win games you have to score more point than the other team. This year the Giants are last in the league in redzone percentage and the Eagles defense is the third highest redzone defense. So no matter if Jaxson Dart and his offense can get going it will be tough to score against and Eagles defense.
This year Saquon Barkley has touched the ball the ball the 4th most this year yet still he has the 23rd most yards and he is sub 150th in average yards per carry. I don’t know if you can blame Saquon or the O-Line for his struggles because the Eagles offensive line is 21st in run block win rate this year. The Giants run defense has been good being top 10 in run stop percentage this year, so for Saquon Barkley let’s hope it’s not another struggle but it definitely could be. But even though they can stop runs, when the running back gets through the hole they allow the 7th most rush yards to the running back.so Saquons performance in this game is up in the air. Even with Saquon struggles I can see a big game for AJ Brown. He gets targeted 38% of the time when the defense is in man and the Giants run a man coverage the 2nd most in the league so AJ Brown may have a big game.
This year the Giants offense averages 17. 4 points per game which is 28th in the league. The guy who has scored the most for them is Theo Johnson who has really played great since Jaxson Dart joined, averaging 1.5 TDs a game with Dart at QB. The Eagles are the 3rd best defense vs tight ends, and that includes playing the #1 tight end so far (Jake Ferguson) and also playing Travis Kelce. Cam Skattebo has been the breakout player for the Giants the year, averaging about 62 rushing yards per game as starter. The Eagles last game allowed 4 rush yards per carry to JK Dobbins, and so far this year the Eagles allow the 8th most yards per carry. But then again when it comes to scoring they are awesome, not even allowing a rushing TD a game.
Prediction: Giants 17, Eagles 30
