GREAT JOB!!! Congrats on your concert performance on Sunday. You all did great and I am super proud of you. This week, we closeout the semester with exams. Get plenty of rest, make sure you study, and let's finish this semester out.
SPECIAL NOTE: The Mount Pleasant Middle School 6th and 7th Grade Bands will be performing their Winter Concert on Tuesday, 17 DEC. It will be in the MPMS Auditorium and will start at 7:00 PM. Come out if you can!!!

FAMILY AND FRIENDS NIGHT PICTURES
Thank you to Mrs. Kiesha Garrido for taking such wonderful photos from our Friends and Family Event on Friday, 1 NOV. They turned out AWESOME. To access those, please go HERE. Just hit the button to "Access Photo Library."
If you would like to purchase picture packages, they are available now (same site as listed above). Be sure to include photo number and student name when purchasing the printed photo packages. Orders will be delivered to students the week before Christmas break.
INFORMATION CONCERNING THE MOUNT PLEASANT WINTERGUARD
Winterguard Handbook: Those who have made the MP Winterguard for the 2025 have been given copies of the handbook. It is required that everyone read this. The handbook goes into detail about rules, policies, fees, schedule, etc. There are a few forms that also need to be turned in (can be found at the end of the handbook).

Commitment Form: If you have not completed this, I need this done ASAP (can be found HERE). This gives me basic information that I need from you. This is now PAST DUE!
BAND App: All members and at least one family member of each member needs to become a member of the MP Winterguard BAND App page. This is where a majority of our communication will come from. To register, please go HERE.
UPDATES FROM THE CLASSROOM
ALL DISTRICT AUDITIONS: For students who have let me know that they plan to audition for All-District Band, the audition will be held on Saturday, January 11th at Porter Ridge High School. The audition fee is $10. Please make checks payable to the Mount Pleasant Band Boosters.
BAND HANDBOOK: All students and families are expected to read the Band Handbook (found HERE). Lots of information pertaining to expectations, rules, schedule, etc. can be found there.
SMARTMUSIC: We will be working to establish SmartMusic accounts for all students by the end of next week. SmartMusic is an online tool we utilize to aid in individual practice and assessment. To get started creating SmartMusic accounts, do the following:
- Go to https://admin.makemusic.com/join?classCode=UC7CJ-V4WYE
- The class code should automatically populate, but if it does not, it is UC7CCJ-V4WYE
- Hit “Find Your Class.” The class Mount Pleasant HS Band 2024-2025 should populate. Hit “Join this Class.”
- Please put in an e-mail address that you utilize often to establish your account.
- Check your e-mail for a confirmation e-mail. Please confirm your account.
