Welcome Back!
We’re excited to kick off another year of growth, competition, and community. Congratulations to our coaching staff and players for the successes of last season – including Coach Fournie's recognition as Sectional Coach of the Year. To our returning athletes, welcome back. To new and prospective players, now is the perfect time to get involved, bring a friend, and help us grow the KITS lacrosse family.
Paperwork:
All students must be registered in order to participate in athletics at ETHS. Registration allows for easier communication from coaching staff ahead of the season. Registration is required each school year, and students must register separately for each sport they plan to play across different seasons.
All ETHS student-athletes are required to have certain forms completed and submitted before participating in practices, camps, tryouts, or games. Please review and ensure your documents are current and on file.
- Physical Exam
- Concussion Management
- Transportation Release
- IHSA Transfer
Upcoming Meetings:
Returning Varsity players only will meet on Wednesday, October 8 after school to set the tone for the year and elect team captains.
A full program and parent meeting will follow, with details to come. Topics will include fundraising, volunteering, team parents, and a program vision and goals discussion. These meetings are a chance to set expectations, strengthen buy-in, and prepare for a successful season together.
Off-Season Opportunities:
The off-season is where players can make the biggest gains.
- ETHS offers Strength & Conditioning, (SST) register now for next term. Coming in October
- Sports Psychology sessions with Jack are available through December. (Group or Individual sessions available)
- Winter league play: Team One 7 v 7 format – Nov 23 - Dec 21, 2025 @ North Shore Sportscenter
- True Lacrosse offers fall and winter training. Reach out to coach Curtis if interested (acurtis@truelacrosse.com)
- Keep up with wall ball routines, and use nets in the community for extra reps. Remember, skill development is your responsibility outside of team sessions.
- Coach Bill and Coach Theo are gauging interest in optional, before or after school conditioning sessions. It is a great way to build fitness, accountability, and team chemistry heading into spring. If interested [click here].
Volunteer Opportunities
We’re looking for high school players to help volunteer coach with the youth program, EYLA and Learn to Lax. It’s a great way to grow our community, keep up your stick skills, and have fun while giving back to the sport. Reach out to coach Curtis if interested (austinc@eylax.com)
Donate Gear

Indigenous People's Day
Indigenous Peoples Day is coming up on Monday October 13th!
It will be a half day bell schedule and an Orange Day (Blocks 1-3-5-7) - not a typical Wildkit Monday with Blocks 1 through 8. During the half day many teachers will be suspending normal classroom schedules and bringing their classes to presentations and activities throughout the building that focus on different aspects of Native American culture and society.
As a part of this year's programming, Evanston Lacrosse will once again be leading a workshop and presentation on the importance of lacrosse to Native American culture and foreign policy. A Native American lacrosse player and educator will be coming down from Green Bay to lead a series of talks on the socio-cultural importance of lacrosse to both pre-Columbian and post-Columbian Native American life. After the speaker's presentation, several of our players will assist Coaches Geron Williams and Michael Strening Jr. in activities that will introduce the participants to the sport.
The lacrosse presentation was a success last year, and so we're looking forward to organizing another presentation this year. Feedback shared after the event last year indicated a high level of engagement and enrichment. We even had several people come out for the FR/SPH Boys team based on their experiences at the presentation!
