The future of Mississippi State football starts here, and momentum is building. Designed to empower Bulldogs past, present, and future and elevate our program among the nation’s elite, a new state-of-the-art indoor practice facility is moving from vision to reality. This transformational project is a defining investment in who we are, what we believe in, and where we’re headed.

- A trailblazing gift from Howard Industries is shaping the future of Mississippi State football and setting a new standard for what’s possible.
- The indoor practice facility will be named in honor of Billy W. Howard Sr., a beloved alumnus, multi-sport athlete, and pillar of the Mississippi State community.
- The new facility will provide 110,000 square feet of training space for year-round development.
- Located adjacent to the Leo Seal Jr. Football Complex, the new space will seamlessly integrate with daily team operations.
- Additionally, there will be renovations and expansions to the current Leo Seal Jr. Football Complex that will enhance key areas such as sports medicine, nutrition, and locker rooms.
- The project includes specialized areas for sports science, designed to advance recovery, reduce injuries, and optimize performance.
- The estimated cost for the indoor practice facility and enhanced support spaces is approximately $60 Million.
- Architects and facility planners are completing design concepts, with groundbreaking anticipated in 2027.
- It is expected that the indoor training facility will open in the summer of 2028, while renovations to the current student-athlete spaces within the Leo Seal Jr. Football Complex will finish in 2029.
- While significant steps toward the fundraising goal for the new indoor practice facility and renovations have been made, the Bulldog Club will continue actively fundraising to support this trailblazing investment in Mississippi State Football.
