We started the week with a very exciting trip to the Centre for Life. The children had a brilliant time exploring the different areas of the centre, learning about a range of fascinating topics including electricity, carbon footprints, fossils and even dinosaurs!
Back in school, we have been getting creative in Art. The children have been working with painting and mixed media, exploring how to create different shades and tints. They have been experimenting with colour and techniques, building their skills ready to design and create their own final piece.
In English, the children have taken on the important role of Year 4 School Council to tackle a real issue: food waste. They have been looking closely at how much food is wasted during dinner times and thinking carefully about ways we can reduce this.
Next week, the children will write persuasive pieces to encourage others to waste less food and to highlight the delicious meals our school provides!
