A Prayer for the Class of 2026

Gracious and loving God, We come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up the Class of 2026 — our graduates who have reached this milestone through Your grace and their faithful effort. We celebrate them today and ask that You guide their every step forward, filling their hearts with purpose, courage, and wisdom. We give thanks for the teachers and mentors who poured themselves into these students — who showed up with patience, dedication, and love. May they know the fruit of their labor is a blessing to us all. We pray over our church family and community, that we would continue to be a place of encouragement and support for every young person in our midst. Let us walk alongside them as they step into the next season of life. Lord, go before the Class of 2026. Open doors that no one can shut, and remind them always that they are known, loved, and never alone. To You be all the glory. Amen

For many children in our community, the school bell doesn't just signal the start of summer — it signals the end of reliable meals. Students who depend on free or reduced-price school breakfast and lunch lose access to those meals the moment summer begins, and rates of food insecurity among children are actually higher during the summer months.
