A note from Mr Higginbottom

Hello! Thanks so much for your support this week - sports days and our summer fair were really well attended. We raised over £1250 for the children at the summer fair - your generosity is amazing, thank you.

I'm really sorry that ks2 sports day had to be postponed twice due to the weather and wet conditions. We're aiming to hold the event on Wednesday 17th July, commencing at 1:30. If the conditions prevent the event going ahead then, it will not be rearranged.

Please help us to support great attendance next week - the completion of curriculum learning, spending time with friends and the spirit of celebration of good times is as important to a child's education as every other aspect of time in school. A reminder that school closes at 3:15 on Friday 19th July and we re-open to children on Tuesday 3rd September.

We were very lucky with the weather for FS and KS1 sports day, shame about KS2! Hopefully we'll have better luck next week!

Thank you for your continued support of our school and for supporting your child by ensuring they're at school on time and they read at least 4 times each week. If you would like to discuss any aspect of your child's time in school you can email enquiries@sqp.wwpat.org, find me on ClassDojo or chat to me at the start or end of the school day.

At Swinton Queen Primary School, children are aspirational, courageous and inquisitive; respectful of all.
