Welcome to Cedar Valley High School 2025-26 All of your back to school information is below...

Clear skies ahead!

Dear Aviators,

Welcome to the 2025–26 school year—my final year as your principal and what I know will be our very best yet!

This year’s theme, Clear Skies Ahead, is similar to CAVU, an aviation term that stands for Ceiling And Visibility Unlimited—clear skies ahead. It perfectly captures where we’re headed together as a school. Just like a pilot flying in unlimited visibility, you have endless opportunities at CVHS, and we’re going to make sure you can see—and seize—every single one.

Here’s what makes this year especially exciting:

We’re launching even higher with our top-ranked aviation program, a growing drone show team, hands-on robotics, and unmatched access to college classes—more than most schools in the country.

Last year’s Class of 2025 crushed it, earning:

$13.3 million in scholarships

8,061 UVU credits (a $3.76 million savings!)

43 associate degrees and 9 general education certificates

And 3 graduates are preparing to serve our country with pride.

Our Flight Crew, teachers, coaches, and staff care deeply about your growth. Whether you're on the field, in the band room, at Jet Fuel, or soaring in a simulator—our crew is all in.

Athletics is on fire, and we’re moving into 6A with confidence, energy, and unity.

I love this crew—and that includes you. At Cedar Valley, every student is a vital member of the team. CAVU is more than a theme; it’s a mindset. It means we believe in you, your dreams, and your ability to make them real. Together, we’ll create a year filled with achievement, fun, and memories you’ll never forget.

Clear skies ahead, Aviators. Let’s fly.

With pride,

Principal Courtney Johnson

One-to-One Next Generation School

What does it mean to be a Next Generation One-to-One School? - Because technology will be a key tool for students as they create and pursue their dreams, Cedar Valley High School desires to provide this technology in an equitable and systematic manner. Research has also shown that technology can provide students with greater opportunities for meaningful engagement. This means we will be providing every student with their own Chromebook to use at home and at school. Click HERE for a district document with all the answers.

Parental Permissions - Before students can be issued or use a Chromebook, parents will need to provide permission through a Student Acceptable Use Agreement, and an Agreement For the Use of Instructional Technology Property. See this Video and this tutorial for instructions on how to provide these permissions. Please complete this before the pre-boarding day.

Insurance & Fines - Students will be responsible for any damages to the Chromebook and for any missing chargers or devices issued to them. We will have details about these fines and a very low-cost insurance option through a third party to help you avoid the possibility of fines. Insurance Flyer and Information.
