Berlín empowering and equipping the next generation

Hallo Leute, Wie geht es dir?

I hope you are well surrounded by your loved ones and enjoying the Lord's new blessings and mercies each morning. It's been 15 days since I arrived in Berlin, Germany and I wanted to share with you an update on what my days here have been like and what the Lord has been speaking in my heart for this season.

As I had already mentioned in my previous letter, I was in the process of transitioning to move to Berlin, Germany and continue serving with YWAM (Youth with a Mission) in the city. Well, after almost 9 years of prayer and so many things happening, I am finally in Germany! For me it is a miracle from the Lord and it has been quite an adventure not only to get here but also the journey and the process before arriving.

From the moment I packed my bags until this moment sitting here writing this newsletter it has been a totally different world for me, new people, new city, people speaking to me in English but also listening to German, my brain thinking in Spanish, new weather, new apartment, new currency, etc. And the more days that pass, the more I am loving this new season, even though it is a challenge in every way.

The arrival trip was not easy, I had to travel from Nicaragua to Costa Rica by bus since the flight was much cheaper leaving from San Jose, I arrived at midnight to the place where I was going to spend the night to leave the next day and take my first flight to Switzerland, at first one of the airline ladies did not want to allow me to check in on my flight because she was demanding a return ticket to Nicaragua claiming that without that they would not let me enter the Schengen area (which It made no sense since I presented an exit ticket to another country and I still have a residence in Costa Rica) then thanks to the favor and mercy of the Lord this problem was resolved and after shedding a few tears and passing the security check they notified me that my flight was delayed 4 hours and instead of leaving at 2:40 pm it ended up leaving at 6:15 pm causing my second flight from Switzerland to Berlin to be canceled and I was assigned another flight on a different airline, this also caused me to have to wait another 8 hours at the airport in Switzerland and what should have been a 14 hour trip turned into a trip of a little more than 24 hours, but thank God I had no problems with luggage and food and snacks they gave me were very good. In the end I had no problems with my entry into the Schengen area either! Despite all the circumstances, God took me by the hand until the end!

These are some of the things I have been meditating on since that day:

  1. God is in charge of cleaning the path, I am in charge of the praise and worship
  2. We were created to have intimacy, first and foremost, with God.
  3. If I am faithful in a little, God takes me to much.
  4. Every achievement of the day is a miracle from the Lord, no matter how big or small.
  5. From the Lord comes my strength and my courage to remain faithful in Him.

With this, I want to encourage you that no matter what you are going through or the process you are experiencing, continue to believe that God is God and that He continues to sit on the throne. At the end of the day it is not about us but about Him and what He wants to do in the nations through us. If we decide to live a life surrendered to His will, He always meets us in the midst of our struggle or our need. We are not alone.

Join what God is doing in Germany and the Nations

YWAM Berlin is a dynamic mission community that trains and equips the next generation to carry the transformative message of Jesus, impacting the city, the continent and the nations. For me it is a great blessing to be able to join the move of God in Germany and be part of the revival that is taking place in the generations. If you want to know more about the ministry here I leave you the link, likewise in the next letters I will be sharing a little more about the vision and focus.

Moving here and being obedient to what God was speaking into my life has required a huge step of faith on my part regarding finances since as you know the cost of living in a country like Germany, especially in a city like Berlin is high compared to life in Nicaragua and Costa Rica. God in his great favor and infinite mercy has taken care of me in a way that I could not have even imagined and that I have come this far is thanks to Him, all the glory and honor be to Him. (Ephesians 3:20)

However, I want to be honest and transparent with you since it is a reality that to continue the work that God started, finances are an important part of the whole picture. It has been a great adventure to live by faith and depend on God with my finances but I will not deny that it has been difficult and there have been days when I don't see a way out. The only thing that comforts me is that God is with me in the midst of any circumstance.

I am still needing to increase my monthly budget to be able to serve in Germany in the long term. For this I need monthly support of at least €800.00 (eight hundred euros) which is about $865.00 US dollars. At this time I receive monthly support of $460-480 USD. I am praying for 5 people who want to commit with $100 a month or 10 people who want to commit to $50 to reach this goal. This would not only help me with living and ministry expenses but would be a fundamental part of my visa process to be able to serve long-term in this country.

I want to be very intentional and invite you to pray to be part of the group of people who promote the ministry and join what God is doing through a monthly offering. Would you consider committing to God for the next two years and being part of my monthly support group with $100, $50 usd? Likewise, if this is something that you cannot do or if this is an amount that you could not contribute, but you feel like supporting me with another amount, there is no problem. Any amount adds up and would be a great blessing. Would you consider being part of this?

TO PARTNER WITH ME THROUGH A DONATION, YOU CAN DO IT IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:

I would greatly appreciate your prayers during this time of transition, so that can be God guiding, accompanying and comforting my heart. To give me the daily wisdom and courage I need to continue walking in His will towards my life. May God be glorified in all that I am and all that I do and may his name be proclaimed to the ends of the earth through my life. Everything I do is for Him and for Him.

Thank you for taking the time to read my news letter.

With Love, Eva Tateana
