“I do think it’s going to affect people in several ways. Tik Tok shares a lot of news that maybe the government doesn't want us to know. I also feel that communicating with friends and just not being able to have fun making videos, it’s going to affect us a lot.”

“It’s very devastating because Tik Tok has a huge influence on people, especially young people and a lot of them work with it, making content, videos, advertisements and shopping.”
Sophomore
Taliyah Hanks and Madison Luchies
"It's obviously going to affect everyone, but it's probably for the best in terms of security and mental health because a lot of people are addicted and spend so much time on it."
Senior
Grace Mahar
“I’m upset: Tik Tok is a fun app to just scroll on, and I think the government is overreacting. Also I think the country has more important topics to worry about instead of banning Tik Toks.”

“I think there are some legitimate concerns the government might have about other countries using our data. At the same time, if the government wanted that kind of information, it could buy it easily. So it feels performative to me, but I don't know that this is the least restrictive way of solving this problem. It’s a platform where people find their communities and also make their living. I think the government should consider this decision very carefully.”
