The Knights traveled to Carroll on Friday evening and played for the second time this season. The Chargers took game one in Ossian, but the Knights made more plays this time around to beat the Chargers 7 – 3. Norwell took advantage in the first of an errant throw and as the inning played out would come around to score to take an early 1-0 lead. Carroll responded with 3 of their own in the bottom half with 4 hits with the biggest hit came from Jack Johnson with a 2 run double.
The Chargers had opportunities but couldn’t get the big hit. Carroll left 10 runners on base while Norwell took advantage of 6 walks and a few 2 out hits along the way and pulled away with 3 insurance runs in the 7th. Carroll returns to action on Monday night when they take on the Huntington North Vikings at 7:00 at Carroll.
