- Kindergarten Registration Open House: Join us on Saturday, February 7, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. for our Kindergarten Registration Open House! Visit www.kaneland.org and click on “Schools” in the top right corner to find your local elementary school. There, you’ll find registration links and additional information to help you get started. Online registration opened on January 19.
- Preschool Interest Application Open Soon! The Preschool Interest Application for the 2026-2027 school year will be available on www.kaneland.org beginning February 7, 2026. Key dates to remember: Application Opens: February 7, 2026; Application Deadline: March 13, 2026; Preschool Lottery: March 16, 2026; Parent Confirmation Emails Sent: March 20, 2026. Don’t miss your chance to apply and secure your spot!
- ACT: On Tuesday, March 24 and Wednesday, March 25, Kaneland High School will be administering this year’s state benchmark tests. As required by the Illinois State Board of Education, students in grade 11 will take the ACT with Writing, students in grade 10 will take the PreACT Secure, and students in grade 9 will take the PreACT 9 Secure. - Kristina M Colombe "Hoops for a Cure Shootout"! Join us on Saturday, January 31, 2026, for our Annual Hoops for a Cure Shootout! Twelve boys’ and girls’ teams, from 8th grade and up, will be competing throughout the day. Be sure to check out our Silent Auction as well. Celebrations & Achievements
The Kaneland Competitive Cheer Team competed at Huntley High School and took 3rd place! Congratulations!
Through our 4th and 5th-grade reading challenge, Ella earned the chance to be the ball girl at a KHS varsity game. A fun and rewarding opportunity made possible by the support of our coaches, players, and the Kaneland community to inspire kids to read.

Kaneland Board
The next regular Kaneland Board of Education meeting takes place on Monday, February 9 at 7:00 p.m. at Kaneland Harter Middle School. Education and Human Relations committees will meet at 6:00 p.m. prior to the board meeting. All of these meetings are open to the public.
