ODAS by the Numbers

Projects

Mentoring and Research Group (MeRG) Dashboard

Created a dynamic, longitudinal report that visualizes participant ratings across various assessment dimensions. Three significant parts of this project are:

  1. Implementation of a process to extract pre- and post-program survey data from Qualtrics for the MeRG program conducted annually by the Office of Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development
  2. Integration with PowerBI to create improved reporting
  3. Development of comprehensive reporting providing insights and actionable analytics used to evaluate program effectiveness

Mistreatment Reporting Forms

Conducted a comprehensive review and update of the forms used by students, faculty, and staff to report incidents of mistreatment. This included streamlining language for clarity, ensuring accessibility, and aligning the forms with institutional policies. Developed a structured reporting workflow that activates after the Learning Environment Committee (LEC) reviews each case and determines appropriate actions.

Academic Performance and Step 1 Analysis

Performed a comprehensive analysis of student performance on their first-take of the USMLE Step 1 exam. Examined data from internal assessments—including exams, quizzes, and final grade distributions—alongside NBME scores to identify trends, students MCAT scores, undergraduate science GPA, demographics at the time of admission, and correlations with Step 1 outcomes.
